Fanhams Hall Hotel  

Having attended my daughter's wedding at Fanham's and stayed for the following night, my wife and I were most impressed at the service, food and friendliness of the staff. Our room was most comfortable. We had an excellent stay and would be happy to stay again.

Stunningly beautiful gardens and grounds. Was there for weekend of a very special Family Wedding, which was excellently organised and served by the staff of the Hotel. Would certainly recommend to friends. My stay was most comfortable.

I like how you was treated as if you were the only people staying there that night And we were not there was 3 functions on. Great service.

stayed in willow room in the main house on the top floor and the room was very small for the price that had already been reduced as guest at a wedding. Also booked cedar room for parents and the two single beds were only suitable for very small children. The rooms in the courtyard were bigger.All the rooms were very clean and newly decorated.

We wondered around the public rooms during the afternoon, and in every room there were dishes and glasses that had not been cleared away. There was a wedding on that day, which may have explained it, but the same thing happened at breakfast - loads of empty tables that had been used but not cleared up. It was a real shame as the hotel was lovely, but with very few staff visible.

We attended family wedding and this location added something extra to the wedding? the old tudor mansion house and exotic gardens were bueatifully maintained and the old and new blended intogether the staff were very helpful from arrival at the reception to the bar staff that attended your every needs?

You have to make sure you are in one of the newly refurbished rooms as the comparison is night and day? what is missing from a hotel of this size is a health and bueaty spa? The hotel is quite remote this is why i think a pool is required to pass some time?

Great historic hotel and setting. Wonderfvul grounds.

No formal dining room; meals in one of two bar areas.

Idyllic setting. It snowed while we there and this 'put the icing on the cake'.

We were disappointed that we were unable to have the use of the full restaurant menu although it was advertised as being available both on the website and in the hotel.

A great venue to stay at!

the room, small cramped and damp, the tea/coffe was hidden in the cupboard, we were over looking the car park, which kept us awake most of the night, wth the noise, and the head lights of the cars, yes the curtins were drawn

Staff were excellent, room was very nice, location is nice and quiet.

Not a complaint really , but the food for breakfast couldve been a bit hotter. Was stil a very good choice though.

The location of the hotel was lovely. The hotel looked splendid and was full of character and we were looking forward to using the facilities of the hotel.

Unfortunately which no one tells you on booking is that if there is a wedding on , you as a hotel guest cant actually use the facilities. We were refused entry into the hotel as the wedding party had taken over all the bars, drawing room set up for next day . we fully understand we were not allowed into wedding venue but we were not allowed into the bar , which I asked a few days before that it was ok. We had in our party my in laws who are 80 and after coming back from dinner wanted to go to the bar lounge which was not where the wedding party was but we were refused entry. And told we could go back to one of our rooms . totally unacceptable
