staff very pleasant although run off their feet

A little TLC is needed perhaps in the restaurant and dining room

The location was very nice and easy to get to. The staff were polite and friendly.

The restaurant food could have been better, I would recommend going into town for meals where possible.

Old building complete with creaky floors but had plenty of character. Like an old scottishcastle/Tudor house! Staff very helpful and friendly and allowed my partner to take a tray to our room with our breakfast on it to save me getting up ......well we did have a wedding to attend and I had to get ready!

Stayed for evening meal as we had to drive if we wanted to go out but wish we hadn't! It took one hour for 5 simple meals but staff were apologetic and took the drinks off the bill.

a real gem: beautiful old country house on a stunning location. My room was clean and complete and even included a good shower, which is rare in old English hotels.

the dining area contains a conservatory which is drafty - better to eat in the bar.

Loved the setting, the grounds were very pretty, the overall ambiance was good and the rooms were very clean and tidy.

We were put in a twin room to start with but with no fuss we were upgraded to a lovely four poster room. Dinner service was excellent but breakfast service was poor although the food was good overall. Fyi: Lovely decor but a promotional banner had been erected at the foot of the stairs which was very corporate and out of keeping with the hotel.

Restaurant service in the evening was shambolic.Food was not great when it finally arrived and I'm still waiting for my bread rolls! Restaurant located in conservatory, which was cold Service not much better at breakfast

Hotel is far from Farnham center, need to use taxi to came there. I had problems with wifi there.

Needs updating, overheated couldn't open windows. Ordered expensive room service and only receive half of what was described on the menu! Your paying for the location....I Wouldn't stay there again.

Bed comfortable and breakfast pretty good with much better service than the evening before.

Evening meal was terrible - had to wait half an hour for a cold meat starter which was poor when it arrived (only 3 other people in the restuarant so heaven knows what it would have been like if busy) and the braised beef was tasteless. The shower in room 25 was terrible, ran hot and cold - probably due to low water pressure as it was on the top floor.

Room was great, with a fantastic view. Pretty good value for money. Very peaceful location. Friendly greeting from reception on arrival.

Restaurant was completely lacking atmosphere - bright lighting, and all of the blinds closed on what was a lovely snow covered garden outside. The two young men serving food during my stay had a "couldn't care less attitude" - to the point where I caught them play spar boxing while I was eating my meal. They just didn't listen to my request for a drink. And the chef gets mixed up between lemon mayonnaise and sweet chilli sauce. Know your menu Mr. Chef!! This place could be really great with better management and discipline.

Nice in the countryside, so a good location for where I had to be. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Could do with a modernisation, but everything worked fine. Bed was comfortable but a bit small if you would be with the 2 of you

The staff were friendly and the hotel is set in attractive grounds close to Farnham. The rooms were a good size with a balcony overlooking woodland.

The evening meals in the restaurant were disappointing in terms of choice, the organisation of the service and the quality of the food. My bathroom was dusty and the corridors gave the impression of being rather 'tired'.
