Farnley Tower Guest House is a Victorian stone built mansion house circa 1870. Steeped with history, it is now a charming 4 Star Guesthouse with Restaurant, Bar and patio onsite. Situated in an elevated position provides stunning views of Historic Durham Castle and Cathedral and surrounding countryside. Positioned in a quiet leafy residential conservation area on the top of The Avenue and is less than a 10 minute walk into the City Centre, Train station and Historic sites. All 17 rooms are individually designed, some having views of the City. A recent refurbishment of the attic has created 3 Double Deluxe en-suite rooms with spectacular views in the Cathedral and Castle View rooms Oak beams, sandstone walls and cast iron staircase have been carefully sympathetically restored in character of the building. Free car parking onsite, subject to availability and WiFi onsite. Ideal for any guest whether you are travelling for business or pleasure, a great hub for sightseeing the historic city of Durham. Providing all the modern facilities of a modern city hotel. For something special be our Guest.
Hi I'm Annette I am the Manager here at Farnley Tower Guesthouse and manage a small friendly team consisting of 6 staff members. I've worked here since May 21 and enjoying my new role here, meeting and greeting guests from all over the world. The Guesthouse has expanded recently, offering 17 individual rooms, along with our own bar and restaurant specialising in authentic Indian cuisine. We are here to help and make your stay as welcoming, comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable as possible.
