Full English breakfast with a wide choice of fresh fruit.
The bathroom was very cold
Kindness of the owners, beautiful house and great location in the countryside, breakfast.
Internet wifi was weak and our devices (iPhone and iPad) couldn't pick it up from our room.
Pet friendly hosts who made us welcome. Good breakfast choices and requested alternatives were catered for.
Having to navigate long driveway and open and close large gate in complete darkness
Derek and Jane are excellent hosts, very tolerant when one of our dogs decided to go AWOL and snuck out of our room while we weren't looking. They are so welcoming, the rooms are lovely and the beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious!! Can't wait to go and see them again
Nothing, everything fab!
Location - in the countryside yet close to the Chunnel - nice when arriving from mainland Europe by car. Only a 30 minute walk to the White Cliffs of Dover from the front door. Hosts Jane and Derrick attentive, very pleasant, and extremely helpful without being overbearing - just the right touch of attention. We enjoyed our stay so much we changed our travel plans to stay there after visiting London and Stonehenge before our return to Paris.
Only one small negative, upon our return visit the room we had did not have Wi-Fi connection - Our first room (Broadstairs) upon arriving had very good Wi-Fi reception.
We travelled with a larger group who stayed a generic chain hotel, which was more expensive, i chose this on price and was thankfully pleased with my decision. We had to leave early and so the owners made us a packed breakfast, which was a substantial feast of a lunch picnic in Reims. Next time I travel early on the ferry, I'll stay here overnight beforehand.
Nothing at all.
This B&B is ideally located for travellers to and from England. It has a unique character. The area allows nice walks with the dog. Owners are both very friendly and give good advice for walks, trips and restaurants.
Bathroom is a bit small.
A Georgian farmhouse every room was different and just a bit quirky lots of original features spotlessly clean and the owners son looked after us very well lovely country setting
Lovely from outside. Great breakfast. Male host was friendly and hospitable. Close to ferry. Reasonable price.
Female host seemed a bit abrupt. Could be fantastic b&b if more attention to details such as quality bedding, furnishings, towels. Only offered breakfast at 7.30am slot due to other guests taking 8am slot?
Very attractive location, pleasant house and good breakfast. Good parking place. Helpful and friendly welcome.
The inconvenience of having to share a bathroom and toilet.
The friendly welcome, and the quiet location.
The bed was either the oldest, or cheapest matress available. The ceiling had more cobwebs and spiders than I have ever seen in a B and B.
a nice house. the staff was very friendly.breakfast was very good.
the house was noisy.
A good room in an impressive looking house, very welcoming hosts and a good breakfast. A few minutes from the ferry port.
Hosts were very good offered drinks on arrival. Room comfortable. We had a connecting room for our son. Breakfast was good. Loads of parking. Lovely grounds to the farm, with near by walks up onto the white cliffs. Beefeater Pub 1/2 mile up road serving good pub food.Overall enjoyable stop over for one night. Will use again when next in area.
Beautiful, quiet location. Extremely friendly owners. Great breakfast. Close to town.
Beautiful old house Rustic location Welcoming hosts
Why stay in Dover when you can be looked after in style? Our hosts were charming, accomodating and the property is wonderful, with the added bonus of being within 5 minutes of the ferry port.
Nothing to dislike.
Most courteous and professional. Fine old house with modern comforts. Wonderful breakfast oviates the need for lunch.
Room, position of place, outlook, facilities.
Beautiful house, warm welcome, lovely setting. Comfy beds and a good breakfast. Excellent value. Dog friendly.
shared bathroom, not the end of the world though.
Very quiet and homely.
Nothing we didn't like.
Welcomed with tea and cake. Very helpful hosts. Lovely quiet location on the outskirts of Dover with ample parking. Breakfast very good. We used Farthingloe for over night stay before catching ferry to France. Would definitely stay again.
Beautiful surroundings, nice apartment, good facilities, great host.
A bit far from Leiden University
The fact we could have our dogs with us - this was a real selling point - and there is a huge amount of land around the house for them to safely have a run in.
Poor wifi reception.
Great hosts and comfortable rooms, great breakfasts. Plenty of parking, good WiFi and plenty to do in Dover.
