My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Ardlui Retreat.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Ardlui Retreat. Perfect location with gorgeous view and it's not too far from the Lake site. The rooms were well maintained and felt comfortable. I slept so comfortably. As we like to cook our own food I felt the kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need. Staff were so helpful and did their best to help with anything we would need. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay especially my parents who were long way from home were overwhelmed with the beauty and hospitality. Would recommend staying here.

Excellent location, private second floor ensuite room with a view of the mountains and loch, very delicious breakfast. Easy check-in with a courteous receptionist. After leaving I realised whilst on my onward journey to Oban I'd left my phone charger in the room, I phoned the hotel and the staff very kindly reserved it for me to collect three days later.

Hotel was clean and in a great location with a good view.

Hotel was clean and in a great location with a good view. But the rooms outdated are outdated and need work. Mouldy showers, no ventilation, rooms very stuffy. No toilet paper left in the rooms. No shower gel or shampoo. Staff were staring at people whilst eating Gossiping loudly. Breakfast was empty and not filled in the morning.

We got the dinner bed and breakfast deal which was good value and the hotel is in a great location with amazing views. The staff were very efficient and friendly. We could have lived with the tired decor that other reviews have mentioned but unfortunately the beds in our twin room were very uncomfortable, with big dips in the middle that made it hard to get a good night's sleep. We would not stay at the hotel again for that reason. Shame!

Breakfast was fairly good with a choice of foods, the croissants were never fresh though. The evening meal was OK but very institutional catering for coach trips. There was a choice of menu but basic. No coffee offered after meals. Hotel was in lovely setting and clean, however the hotel is tired and in need of a lot of modernisation. The windows were sealed shut so no ventilation in hot bedrooms or stairwells.

The hotel is situated perfectly on the banks of Loch Long with spectacular view of the loch and the hillside beyond. The room was spacious, immaculate and well appointed. The Loch view description did not disappoint, even in the poor weather I arrived in. The local village contains a small number of options for food, but Ben Arthurs Bothy next door served a great meal and pint at a good price.

The room was cosy, the view of the cobbler and Arrochar alps was amazing across Loch long. The bed was comfortable and clean, and the TV was of a high quality. One of the major things I liked was the quietness of the room, there were guests next door on both nights and I still heard nothing. I was able to get a great rest between hiking days which made such a difference.

Everything. What a fantastic home in a beautiful area. Have been holidaying in Loch lomond for 20+ years, and this is by far the nest location i have stayed in. Village inn down the road for bevy and a scran and plenty more bars/hotels and restaurants a 5/10min walk away. Fishing on the pier (caught 3 Mackeral no big deal guys). Genuinely canny wait to come back.

We booked the hotel mainly due to access to a hot tub and its brilliant location nearby many popular hiking spots. The hotel also has a Kayak which we took out onto Loch Long for a lovely lunchtime paddle. The staff were very kind and helpful in trying to make our little getaway as relaxed as possible, we'll definitely come back if we travel back into the area.

A little gem, nestled on the northern banks of Loch Lomond. The chalet was beautifully presented with quirky touches with a Scottish flavour. Views of hills and Loch. Hotel with delicious food on site. Water-sport activities available in season. Five minutes to train station to access even more variety. Superb location to just relax or venture further afield.

Glebe Country House is a very nice example of a classic B&B. Bernadette, the host, gave a very friendly welcome. She has lavished every corner with very nice details, and the finishes and furnishings are excellent. The setting is lovely and quiet, with a view from the front bedrooms of Loch Lomond. Breakfast was terrific.

The exterior of the hotel was exactly as you see in the photo’s, an old manor house sitting in a picturesque location. however, the inside is in need of a good refurbishment. The corridors smelt of old damp carpet, the room was tiny, and unless you had a window permanently open, condensation gathered instantly.

Clean. All amenities present. Nice view on Loch Long and the Arrochar Alps. At the back of the house there is a narrow, but nice seating area with a hot tub. the Village Inn pub is very nice and close to the cottage. Good location for exploring the Loch Lomond area and Arrochar Alps.

Arrochar is a strategic point to visit Loch Lomond and Alpes, and Melissa's place is very cosy and familiar. She's very friendly and kind, and if you are not in hurry she will find the way and the occasions to make you feel part of the local community. Excellent breakfast

Wonderful place to stay off of the West Highland train line. Clean rooms and great breakfast, and a good menu for lunch and dinner as well. The view out the front of the inn is gorgeous and it’s quiet. There are hikes you can take right from the inn.
