Location was great for the beach.Easy to find. Breakfast was great - cereals, toast, full english - plenty of it. Could do with a bit of a facelift - things like broken ceiling tiles and the shower heads replacing, but overall for the price we paid, it was fine.

I liked the price the location and the hotel itself, nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was great. I didnt' like the reviews I read after I had booked and thought oh my god whats it going to be like, but went with an open mind and was very pleased with the location and the room itself.

The location was excellent, the breakfast was good and the free parking at the back was a money saver. I found 1 or 2 of the staff were rude. We paid for a double room and was given a twin with a slightly bigger single!! The shower was very poor and no decent power. No hot water from the taps. When I went for breakfast the breakfast itself was good, however the cutlery was very dirty which was very off putting and only had the breakfast on that occasion.

Nice room, nice staff, good breakfast. Very good value for the money. As most of those small budget hotels, there is always a lot of minor things to be done by a handyman. For instance fix the ventilator at the kitchen, so the whole hotel dosen't have to smell cooking oil:) But basicly okay. I have seen a lot worse.

The breakfast was very good. Plenty of choice of cereals, Freshly made Orange juice from a machine in the room that was filled with oranges and juice comes out in a jug. Lots of toast with a basket of butters, jams, marmalades etc. Pot of Tea or Coffee, Followed by a full english breakfast. Bacon,Sausage,Egg,Beans,Mushrooms,Tomatos,Fried Bread, Black Pudding. Place was a little run down I.E. loose handrails going upstairs and shower leaked water mostly down the wall instead of coming out properly. Can be fixed quite easily though. Smelt strongly of cigarette smoke from other rooms when going to my room though as I had a non smoking room. They are in the process of painting the outside which looks a lot better so should be good for Summer season.

The owners were downright rude and threatening, the hotel was damp, dirty and mould everywhere. Fitments were not attached to the walls, food was unfit for human consumption... Environmental Health has been inofrmed.

the room was ideal for our family of 5, with the children all under 5 years old. we had a double bed, bunk beds and a travel cot. there was also an extra fold away bed which although was not used looked very good and had a very thick mattress on it. the hotel was ideally located at the top of the seafront parade and close to the beach so everything was accessible by walking. although comfortable and clean (most importantly), the room was very much on the tatty side and could do with being redecorated, but this in no way diminished our enjoyment of our weekend. parking was very scarce but simply because there is limited spaces anyway, residential houses and other hotels in the immediate vicinity. greeted by the lady owner although not rude or basil fawlty like, she seemed a little impatient and unfriendly.

Me and 2 children thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful, friendly and we were treated as individuals. We had read some less favourable reviews but took the chance and got exactly what we wanted. It is a querky hotel making it really fun and a great personal atmosphere from the owners. It may not have luxurious facilities but nor does it pretend to in the pricing. Thumbs up from all 3 of us and it is the children who have been reminding me to post a review to say so.

The pluses;value, location, breakfast, extras in the room, free car park. Help with luggage.although couldnt recommend to others it was good value ,some renovations were going on and I would probably stay again if attention is paid to shortfalls. Strange smell, shower not getting hot, broken stair handrail, dirty carpets. Rubbish by back entrance.

Well, we didn't like fawly towers at all. The staff were nice enough, but the hotel was very grotty! There was. Mold in the fridge. I kept triping over the carpet in our rooom because it was in two pieces and stuck down. The window wouldn't close. There was 2 dirty shoe laces to pull on and off the light and fan. It was the worse hotel we had stayed in. We won't be going there again.

Towel in our bathroom still had previous occupant's toothpaste on it, and the sheet had the previous couple's uhm exploits... The sheet and towel were changed for us, however with those two being the things we could see, the night's sleep was not a restful one...

No nonsense value for money hotel with a good breakfast. Helpful staff. Rooms were clean with plenty of facilities, including a fridge. Public areas could do with some tlc but the actual rooms were fine. The quality of the breakfast was a bonus as was being able to park bang outside the hotel for nothing. Great location. We could walk everywhere, we didn't have to use the car at all.
