Situated in the village of Ashby St Ledger, The Olde Coach House offers luxury rooms, a contemporary restaurant, and a charming rustic bar. On the A361, it is just off Junction 18 of the M1 motorway.

The wide, tree-lined market place in Brackley, with its Georgian and Victorian houses and shops, is the delightful setting for this 13th century coaching inn.

Food & service was excellent
We expected a table in the restaurant for our evening meal but were located in a brightly lit side room in another part of the hotel. It was a large room with only a few tables and was definitely not what we wanted. It was a friends reunion and we booked the table 6 weeks prior. Very disappointing. We complained and were given some free drinks but it did spoil our evening.
Our room was clean, comfortable and luxurious with a great view of trees, garden & lake. Enjoyed the Fitness studio & swimming pool.
We had to change rooms initially, as the room we were given on arrival had just been decorated. Strong smell of paint. Reception staff were excellent and moved us straightaway.
Staff were fab
Staff was helpful. Beautiful grounds. Room service excellent. Great hall gorgeous. Queen Elizabeth I stayed there!
Dining was room was gothic, dark, and sort of scary. We ate dinner in the room because of this. No elevator.
We had a fantastic stay at Fawsley Hall. The staff were all very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. The Spa facilities were lovely and over all we had a very relaxing weekend.
Some of the décor was slightly in need of re-doing but was really a minor issue.
Beautiful setting... The breakfast and the dining room staff. were excellent Lovely room BUT...
Poorly trained Reception Staff. Cleaner in room when returning from breakfast ,as we were not leaving that day.Didn't change towels just hung up dirty damp ones again. No butter or cutlery with toast and jams when delivered to our room. Constant humming noise from kitchen or boiler under our room (Club room as it was dearer than a standard room).which gave us a really bad nights sleep. No air conditioning instructions. NO lift, too many stairs as I have back and knee problem! Draught cider off both nights, feeble excuse from bar man.
Hotel was lovely, staff excellent
Food and drinks over priced
The House, the location, the food
Didn't like that the hall was fully reserved for afternoon tea and left no where for guests to relax other than the bar.
Great stay, beautiful hotel, would highly recommend
Really loved the grounds and the actual main building we were put in the newer part which smelt very much of paint and lost the charm of the main part of the building
Many if the staff didn't speak English in this quaint English country house which made it difficult to explain what we wanted in the restaraunt. Breakfast I found was quite poor for the amount we paid for one Night
Location and style
Location, ambience, staff.
Very grand building, and an excellent breakfast.
Overpriced. No air conditioning, room unbearably hot. No bath. 2 light fittings not working in our room. Dining area very dark. Gardens need up keeping and planting.
Stayed for 1 romantic night. The hotel is an amazing building with so much character. The room was very nicely presented. We booked a classic room which was the best value so didn't have a bath tub but the large shower was good enough. Very comfortable and clean. The staff were attentive. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and perfect for walks. The Spa area is nice and has good facilities...especially if the weather is good! Breakfast was great with a good selection and service.
My full body massage at the spa wasn't as good as i'd hoped for at £65. It was a de-stress treatment and the beautician was constantly talking to me throughout the session. We had 2 espresso martinis from the bar in the evening which were the worst we've ever tasted - and we've tried a few!
Very interesting and attractive building.
Our room had no aspect whatsoever.
Spa treatments were excellent. Food was outstanding Double room was terrific
Twin room was a disappointment after seeing the double room. Dated and small
Very tired decor. Staff swearing in kitchen. Courtyard could be beautiful but was awful. Disappointing. Health and safety breached. It'll be interesting to see how changes are made under new management.
The attentiveness and attitude of the staff was superb. Nothing was too much trouble, there was always a smile on everyone's face and a kind, immediate response to any request. Food was superb, room was beautiful, spa was lovely...and I was especially spoilt by Mark the manager, who did everything conceivable to make my birthday weekend special,
Some of the therapists on the spa were not experienced enough.
every thing ,the rooms excellent ,service ,spa ,food and staff
our room was above the spa and had trouble getting in as the spa closed at 9ish
Granduer of the building Setting Grand hall Spa Good service
Rooms not together ( Infact not even in the same building ) even though requested at booking and checked the day before we flew over. Left to stager to the room overladened with luggage after being sent to the wrong wing and wrong floor. Bruising in the spa after a bikini wax. Being told on arrival breakfast was served 7.30/10.30 only to be told when we arrived at 9.45 that b/fast finished at 9.30. Bedside lamp not working Very confusing telephone system. Can't call fawsley direct. Took 4 calls and 15min to contact hotel to change dinner reservation time, very very frustraiting.
ALL OF IT GREAT PLACE
Hotel itself and its grounds Room quality Spa Restaurant
Setting and surroundings wonderful, food very nice, reception pleasant and helpful.
Not impressed with lack of staff for bars and coffee bar, told unable to take an order from terrace outside as they were busy! A wedding on Friday and another on Saturday with drinks at £6.00 and coffees at £3.00 its not rocket science to have extra staff on at hotel wages to recognise its self funding and makes the client experience far more enjoyable.
Beautiful setting,Hotel stunning,Food 1st class,Room lovely. Facilities amazing
The price for the drinks is ridiculously high given that you have already paid a premium price to be staying at this lovely hotel. Approach road from the A361 needs attention although this would be the local council and not the hotel i would imagine.
