The standard of food and service was top notch.

You get used to it. BUt the creaking floorboards made you look for a ghost. It is however, an old building.

It's an attractive building in nice surroundings and the pub/restaurant part has a nice atmosphere and does good, reasonably priced food. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I've stayed at the Feathers twice before without any complaint at all. The only thing I would say this time is that I was put in a room in the part of the building where they have a problem with damp so my room smelled horribly musty and damp. I could have my window open when I was in there but not at night or while I was out because it was ground floor. I pointed this out to the receptionist on checking out and although she was apologetic, no gesture was made, i.e. price reduction, voucher etc. I paid the same for an unpleasant experience as I would have done had I been in a room without the problem. For info, avoid rooms 4, 5 and 6 for the time being until they've sorted it.

We found it a excellent base for what we needed,staff were friendly and the food and room was just what we needed.

The room was quite small and there was no view from the room.Service in breakfast room was too intrusive.Coffee at breakfast was not nice.

We came for a family wedding at The 3 Lake nearby. Many of the guests were able to stay at the hotel and all I spoke to were very satisfied with the rooms and provision of breakfast. Everything was very convenient and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you

The breakfast choices were good.

The drawer fronts that came off in my hand when I was unpacking my case. I did make reception aware of this when we checked out. Place was ok but I felt that the general decor looked a bit shabby and that it would benefit from a bit of money being spent on some upgrading.

Very comfortable bed and large room Your literature said that there was a cd player in the room. If there was we did not find it.

It's generally quite grotty and poorly cleaned. The bathroom was dirty: the shower curtain was brown (unintentionally) from not having been washed. It's just one of an increasing number of hotels which leave you very disappointed and wondering just how much you have to spend to get a simple but good quality service.

Very comfy rooms and pleasant helpful staff.

Nearness to the friends I was visiting.. Price was good.. Room was very clean and comfortable.

They did not provide me with gluten free bread for breakfast which I had requested on booking and again on ringing up a few days before. They did not provide me with a paper each day, even although they state in their brochure they could provide this service. Excuse - the shop has closed down.
