The pleasure of staying in a hotel that dates back to Jacobean times and the comfortable beds and good food. On arrival our room was a bit dusty but this was soon rectified and was well cleaned throughout the rest of our stay. |

Very helpful staff, a beautiful hotel, a historic building in its own right, in an excellent location. Serves an excellent breakfast. Bed was a little saggy and needed to be replaced, or at least mattress turned. I slept ok but had my wife been with me it would have been an issue. |

The hotel appears to be very well run althought we did not use their resturant and accordingly cannot comment on the quality of their food. Ludlow itself is a very nice market town and well worth a visit. We have booked for New Year for two days. |

The general ambience is very pleasant, with good food and excellent real ale. I wish they served soya milk on request as I don't always remember to take it with me! Apart from that, the hotel is fab. |

Very friendly and helpful staff in all departments. Excellent breakfast. I wasnt impressed by the dining area. There were unlaid/unused tables and the lighting was very bright. it appeared very clinical and not cosy or intimate. The presentation of the food was superb shame i cant say the same about taste and content of the menu. My pork with olive mash was ruined by a overpowering korma curry sauce. The duck dish, had by my wife, was average. |

Amazing historic ambience. Very helpful and freindly staff - esp. nice welcome from reception and very friendly barman. Location in the middle of a truly spectacular county town. Great wifi. Pub accross the road from my room (101 at the front) had a disco until midnight. Road cleaners started at 0600 Saturday. Not the hotel's fault, of course, but if you like a quiet night a room at the back might be better. |

Breakfast was freshly cooked and served promptly. Car park and location of hotel in town centre. Small bedroom with view over a flat roof. General areas need freshening up. |

The Situation of the hotel is ideal for the town. It has a lot of atmosphere. I do have to comment that the net curtain in our room was really dirty. We also checked in the same time as another couple who left - they said their bedspread was dirty. |

Opportunity to stay in a wonderful piece of English history - some wonderful sitting rooms. Our rooms was also one of the biggest hotel rooms I've seen! I was expecting a traditional bar to match the hotel however it was modern and geared towards a young crowd. |

The sense of history that you get from such an interesting and attractive old building. The (generally) relaxed, calm, and civilised atmosphere. The central location in the town; everywhere is within walking distance. The breakfasts: the cooked food was prepared to order, not left standing around on hotplates. |

The location in the town was perfect with easy access everywhere. On site car parking was convenient and the building was quite amazing inside and out. My room was very comfortable with all amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful. |

We were upgraded on arrival, the room was very spacious and comfortable. Great value for money. The roaring fire was a nice welcome on a very cold night. Very quiet, due to time of year. |
