Tall, square, solid and stylish, Dinham Hall is the epitome of a grand late-18th century family home located across from the medieval castle.
Score from 209 reviews Very good
A boutique Georgian hotel, Fishmore Hall overlooks Ludlow, with stunning views of the Shropshire countryside. Recently restored, the hotel boasts contemporary bedrooms with designer bathrooms.

Its historical aspect and location.
The historical ambience and the professional staff
I loved the writing room and the room nxt to it. I loved the outside of the building
The location was excellent and the staff were very friendly.
The shower was pathetic with water barely dribbling out, for this day and age the WiFi coverage was hopeless and the room was very noisy at night.
No atmosphere in bar, no Wi-Fi at hotel. Long way to room.
My husband slept so well he wanted to bring the bed home with him the bed was so comfy and firm. Lovely relaxing break and the hotel was nice and central in Ludlow
We found this hotel and city by chance, as it was on our way back from the Cotswolds to Manchester. Wish we had spent more than one night in this hotel and town. Hotel is in a great location, has clean rooms, helpful and friendly staff. Lots of little nooks and crannies and hidden rooms to find. Parking on site, that staff let us use even after checking out.
Parking lot was very tight getting in, and spaces were limited. Staff was helpful in finding space to put our car (had us park on a double yellow that I probably wouldn't have parked in had I not been told to). They appear used to fitting as many cars in as possible. No real cons!
Well trained and pleasant staff.
Not being able to book a car parking space.
Restaurant meal excellent
Excellent staff good breakfast.Great location with good car parking.Nothing was too much trouble which is rare to see these days!
WiFi not working unless you were in reception. Room tired in need of refurbishment.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Interesting history to the building.
Bathroom was very small and cramped.
The reception was first class. All staff were friendly and were anxious to please without affectation. The breakfast was traditional- well cooked and presented
Very nice hotel, good situation, friendly, efficient staff, excellent food and good facilities.
The disturbance from the drunken behaviour of groups leaving the public house opposite resulting in 2 nights with little sleep. Apparently this only happens on Friday and Saturday nights.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Good sized room albeit the floorboards showed their age, creaking everywhere which certainly gives it character. Food was very tasty and well presented.
Bed was tired and pillows rediculously small and without substance.
Beautiful historical building. The food was excellent & service was very attentive
Room looked a bit tired. Bathroom could have been cleaner & better maintained. Generally got feeling they were trying to do housekeeping on the cheap but as the prices were high we expected better.
Central location , History
Romm we had overlooked the main street we had very little sleep due to late night revellers leaving pub opposite
Very close to rail station, just up the hill. Staff on reception were excellent arrived hot and bothered with a heavy suitcase and feeling unwell with a cough and cold, the young man at reception carried my suitcase to the room and when asked provided some mineral water and ice and lemon to my room very quickly. Also sorted out my window so I got more fresh air. Really helpful and informative chap. Staff in bar very nice and also at breakfast in the restaurant the next morning. Good choice of food at breakfast that was delivered hot and very promptly but there were few people there as at the end of the breakfast period. Room had usual facilities quite old fashioned but the hotel has this style, bathroom very clean and quite modern with nice bath. The age of the building is charming but also in some ways impractical for stairs lifts air conditioning etc. They do have wifi but by the time that I needed the code past 11pm there seemed to be nobody in reception and there was no info in the room about this
For the price of £130 for one night I thought the room was quite small and if. I had been staying there for longer I would have probably said something but I was only overnight for a wedding and spent most of the time outside, it also had a great view of the carpark but. I guess some bedrooms have to. Would not recommend for any elderly people with mobility problems as lots of doors and little half stairs etc which is also part of the charm. I am not elderly but my mum would have struggled.
staff were very helpful, and nothing was to much trouble.food of a high standard, comfy room - but ----
unfortunately the bedrooms overlook a pub/hotel opposite and loud music until 2am was a bit of a downside, however the + outweigh this - . so would not let this stop me booking again.i'll just remember to pack the earplugs!!
noise heat trek to the room
Staff throughout the hotel were lovely - very friendly and attentive
Food was v poor - menus are nothing special, but every dish was disappointing. Even the children's pizza was unappetising.
Breakfast, location, frontage
Could do with painting & upgrading the price was very expensive for the quality of the room
Dinner in the restaurant was good the food was excellent.
Receptionist was poor, no help with luggage was offered and room turned out to be up many stairs and through a number of doors, we did struggle!!
Great location for seeing Ludlow, onsite , parking, good breakfast, hotel has character.
Noisy music from across the road late at night (Friday)
Friendly admosphere, comfortable room, good food and staff for whom nothing seemed too much trouble. The hotel building itself has immense character.
Rooms on the front were subject to noise from cars but mostly people carousing outside until the early hours. Friends who had rooms off the front of the hotel were untroubled.
