A boutique Georgian hotel, Fishmore Hall overlooks Ludlow, with stunning views of the Shropshire countryside. Recently restored, the hotel boasts contemporary bedrooms with designer bathrooms.
Score from 213 reviews Excellent
Tall, square, solid and stylish, Dinham Hall is the epitome of a grand late-18th century family home located across from the medieval castle.
Score from 219 reviews Very good

Score from 44 reviews Wonderful
Lovely friendly welcome, the hotel was comfortable with lots of old world historic charm.
Lovely old building in a quaint town good food with cosy rooms. Staff were very obliging with nothing too much trouble
Car park too small had to park car in public car park restaurant too small for the breakfast rush
Helpful staff and excelent breakfasts.
Labyrynthine layout. Not such a problem for us, but we had to help one elderly guest with a walking frame navigate no less than four flights of steps up and down between her room and the lift!
The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was lovely!
Bedroom was only slightly bigger than the bathroom but was comfortable. I don't think the internal decor matched what I expected based on the frontage of the property which was disappointing. I'm not sure that the price was a reflection of the room's worth by I can't fault the staff.
Lovely historic building. Friendly staff. Food great but pricey.
4 poster bed was uncomfortable. Room could have been cleaner. Sparse facilities. Too expensive.
The character of the hotel and its history. The upstairs drawing rooms with their ornate ceilings, open fireplaces and wooden panelling are particuarly spectacular. The location is excellent and there is also parking. Friendly staff.
Plumbing noisy and the walls were a bit thin - so quite a lot of noise travelled.
The food and service in the dining room was excellent
Long walk to room along narrow corridors
We very much enjoyed the character of this wonderful old building and the location was excellent. The staff were helpful and there was plenty of storage space in our bedroom.
Limited parking was a potential problem. The modern decor in the bar contrasted adversely with the other rooms in the hotel.
Lovely room friendly staff
Room probably needs freshening up. Woodchip wallpaper not quite in keeping with character of hotel
Staff were very friendly. Great to stay in such a historical hotel.
We paid $240 (Australian) per night. We were told by staff on both nights that we would not be able to dine in the restaurant until after 7:45pm due to tour groups staying at the hotel. We could not even be served in the hotel bar due to the tour groups. Not fair considering we were paying full rates for the 2 nights!
Appeared hotel was in process of hiring staff.
Very friendly & helpful staff. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Car parking was very restricted at its fullest.
Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent.
Location, parking, very interesting building.
Wifi weak, overpriced for 3-star, staff knowledge poor, no Ludlow brochures, kitchen inexplicably unable to cope at busy times.
great staff especially night porter who served us after everyone else went to bed early (11pm!!). location in town centre. car park at venue. good room. good breakfast.
location in ludlow excellent. safe car parking very good
very tired looking furnishings. ate in the cafe/bar. asked bread to go with starter - it never arrived. Breakfast husband asked for salted butter - we dont have any
Its historical aspect and location.
The historical ambience and the professional staff
I loved the writing room and the room nxt to it. I loved the outside of the building
The location was excellent and the staff were very friendly.
The shower was pathetic with water barely dribbling out, for this day and age the WiFi coverage was hopeless and the room was very noisy at night.
For the room we had it was £117 and it was a tiny room, we thought it was very expensive for what we got.
No atmosphere in bar, no Wi-Fi at hotel. Long way to room.
Helpful staff - they go the extra mile. Breakfast was delicious. Interesting building - they provide a good history to go with it and our waiter at breakfast noticed we were reading about it and offered his knowledge too. Delightful room and comfy bed.
Evening meal (taken in my room) was a bit disappointing and over-priced.
My husband slept so well he wanted to bring the bed home with him the bed was so comfy and firm. Lovely relaxing break and the hotel was nice and central in Ludlow
We found this hotel and city by chance, as it was on our way back from the Cotswolds to Manchester. Wish we had spent more than one night in this hotel and town. Hotel is in a great location, has clean rooms, helpful and friendly staff. Lots of little nooks and crannies and hidden rooms to find. Parking on site, that staff let us use even after checking out.
Parking lot was very tight getting in, and spaces were limited. Staff was helpful in finding space to put our car (had us park on a double yellow that I probably wouldn't have parked in had I not been told to). They appear used to fitting as many cars in as possible. No real cons!
