With beautiful courtyard views of Loughrigg Fell and St. Mary’s Church, this bed and breakfast offers en suite rooms with a flat-screen TV and DVD player. Set in the quaint village of Ambleside within the Lake District National Park, scenic walks can be enjoyed in the immediate area. Lake Windermere is just 10 minutes' walk from Fell View, and boat trips can be taken over to Bowness. Very friendly couple run this B&B. We were very impressed with all the little extra touches. dvds, wi, toiletries, mints in room. Breakfast was continental and there was still a very large selection to choose from. Would definitely stay again. could just do with thicker curtains when the sun rises early.

A fabulous warm welcome. Lovely large bedroom with a view of the fell. Comfortable bed. Lots of hot water for a relaxing shower after a day on the fells. Excellent continental breakfast with a wide choice of food. The owner, Lisa, was helpful and chatty. She made us a flask of coffee to take on the hills each day at no extra cost. Extremely good value for money. A minor problem with the television. The dining room was quite small.

Right in the centre of town Absolutely filthy room above a newsagents. Room hadn't been vaccuumed in weeks. Various different coloured hairs in the bed, stained carpets and soft furnishings.Rotting fruit in the breakfast baskets and cooked meats left uncovered. Parking is also a game of 'beat the traffic warden' or pay £9 per day. These people have a lot to learn!

I loved the location, I loved the b&b, we had everything we needed and more. Gorgeous young family running fell view, cutest kids, 3 little girls. Didnt hear them once whilst in our room, was embarassed, my one yr old daughter was noisier. our first time at the lake district, was a perfect holiday. will definately be going back to fellview. breakfast was plentiful, couple were really helpful and welcoming go to the thai restaurant round the corner, ask to sit on the back seats were you sit on the floor seats, was fab

Lovely room, lovely owners. Great facilities and good location, right next door to a shop and 2 minute walk to pubs and restaurants. Great choice at breakfast. Owners couldn't have been more helpful. Amazing view from our room! Unfortunately the car parking is a pain. There is a long stay car park approx 5 minutes walk from the hotel but you can't pay for longer than 10 hours during the day so had to keep returning.

The breakfast was very generous, as were the tea+coffee facilities Owner friendly and helpful. Plenty of room + hot shower! Appreciated the DVD and games - would be great for families with young kids. Parking might be a problem in high season, but through no fault of owners.

Great location, very comfortable and affordable. Owners were very helpful with information and any extras we needed. Good supply of cereals, toast, spreads, fruit and yoghurt for breakfast. Great stay over all A few of the shampoo bottles weren't full so some one had used then from the last stay and they hadn't been replaced. Also a scrunched up tissue was down beside the bed. But nothing major.

The staff are excellent nothing was too much trouble. Really friendly and so polite. The welcome pack was great full of all the information you need even restuants to eat at and taxis. Plus books for walks will defo again

The hotel was so friendly, the owner was really helpful, nothing was too much trouble, even got free newspapers!! The room was really comfortable and clean, with sky tv, DVD and WII games console. The location was excellent. Would definitely recommend it, we will be staying there again.

It was in a good location. The owners were friendly and could not do enough for us. It was excellent value for money, The continental breakfast was also excellent. the only thing I would suggest is that the room is given a coat of paint as the walls were a little dirty but this was just normal wear and tear
