Lovely location just outside Beverly, very clean and comfortable rooms, great breakfast
Nothing it was great as usual
the food was very good with a fantastic choice on the carvery
the tv reception was poor and kept losing signal as was the mobile signal
Room was fantastic
Food was poor for the standard of accommodation. Stay away from the carvery school dinner style and small portions if veg. Disappointing. Went to Dog and Duck next door for pudding
Room, Location and Great Food as always
Towel Rail not working. Shower was too powerful and water went everywhere - we felt sorry for the cleaning staff
COURTESY AND FRIENDLINESS OF STAFF. VARIETY AND STANDARD OF FOOD AT BUFFET. HIGH STANDARD OF ACCOMMODATION
RATHER RESTRICTED SELECTION OF MAIN DISHES ON A LA CARTE MENU AND VEGETARIAN OPTIONS AT BUFFET. (JUST A COMMENT - NOT A CRITICISM!)
The staff couldn't do enough to help - a cheese and biscuits (with celery and grapes!) was whisked up on request even though it was not on the menu. Food was very good Modern accommodation but with 'Old World' style bar and restaurant
Heated towel rail did not work - but that can be fixed
Excellent location for exploring East Yorkshire.
the beds were very comfortable and everything very clean. Its so quite we slept extremely well, just what you need for a short break.
The location in the lovely village of walkington & easy access to other places of interest.
The general housekeeping could be improved on
Clean and modern.
everything was what it said on the web site and more. we really did have a great stay with you, the following morning we caught the bus into beverley and really enjoyed the adventure,we put your place on facebook to recommend to our friends if they are in the area.
the only point I would say, there was no toilet brush in the toilet.
Clean. Comfortable. Friendly.
Some of the carvery food.
the room was very comfortable nice feel and you could open the window for fresh air. we stayed in the summer
the shower was too forceful in room 2 wish there had been bottle water in the room
Room was well appointed
Shower curtain too short, water force too high. Both led to flooding in the bathroom and out to the room carpet.
STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND ACCOMMODATING. Wide choice in the restaurant. Breakfast very good.
Noisy fan in room...but of course one can take card out of the wall...once one realises where it's coming from!
the rooms were lovley breakfast was good
The rooms are great. Have stayed in both a Standard and a Superior. Great nights sleep in The Lodge which is quietly situated away from the main building and road. Staff lovely.
Breakfast area not ideal. Sat at a table facing an open toilet door with cubicles in view! Unable to serve yourself with fruit juices, and no fruit available. Food limited (but good quality).
The carvery was excellent - enormous portions and I was able to choose a smaller plate for a lower price.- able to get fresh milk instead of UHT for in-room coffee
There was nothing we didn't like
Rooms great very spacious Breakfast excellent Staff very helpful Lovely setting in a quaint village
Bed squik Breakfast rubbish White bread had mould on it Had a drink in the bar at night had the feeling the staff did not want us in there Drinks very expensive
The shower curtain was moldy
Suited us 100%
Big comfortable room, easy parking, located in a pretty village within an easy drive to Beverley, Hull and York. The breakfast was good, and, being a pub (though the accommodation is located next to that - so no problem with noise), there was a good selection of beers.
This would be a little out of the way for local sightseeing if one did not have a car.
Everything. The staff, facilities and food was excellent
Only one small problem; difficult to turn on bath taps in our room
general level of cleaniless was acceptable but some things hadn't been dusted in a while.
Damp in bedroom from bathroom. Breakfast didn't start until 7.30am which means a rushed breakfast for getting to work on time.
