This place is beautiful!!Despite the hazardous weather conditions we arrived safely to the warmest welcome given by the owner and hostess Gillian. She directed us to our gorgeous room with the most beautiful view of Lough Finn. The following morning our host Gillian also cooked our delicious breakfast, showed us the best walks surrounding the area and other activities we could avail off. On one of the evenings we had the entire place to ourselves and Gillian offered for us to sit downstairs by the fire where a night cap of goodies was left for us to dig into. Didn't want to leave!!If there ever was a place to visit to get away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life...this is it!! Don't hesitate, book now!!
Our stay was absolutely brilliant. It was so peaceful with fantastic scenery. The perfect place to spend our Christmas. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Can't wait for our next stay.
Great welcome to the resort, the room was outstanding and location was also very good. No complaints and would highly recommend. 10/10
The setting of the lodges is fabulous with excellent facilities
We throughly enjoyed our stay - we always have quality family time at the lodges and are planning our next stay.
Michael and staff were friendly, warm and endeavoured to go that extra mile :-) their love and passion was obvious. accommodation, surroundings and food were all excellent and of a high standard. The decor was homely while modern, food source from local businesses. We had a go on the boats and the mountain bike trail which I thought were all very well priced. I will definitely be returning in 2015 and look forward to using the new lake side jacuzzi, sauna and spa facilities, due early 2015 . I would recommend this place to young and old, families, couples even single looking a little retreat. So relaxing yet plenty to do and Donegal town is only twenty minutes away. Well done to Michael and his family for creating such a fabulous resort xxx
Not one thing!
Michael and staff were very friendly and welcoming. All staff were particularly accommodating and went that extra step to ensure comfort and an enjoyable stay. Very clean and excellent attention to detail in the rooms. Location is perfect, relaxing and ideal for a weekend break. Definitely intend on returning.
Location facilities peace and quiet
Everything,you will love it guaranteed!
The staff could not be better. The facilities are second to none and the location is breathtaking.
Really enjoyed our stay. There is plenty to see and do in the lodges or nearby in the lakeland area. Great place to get away for a relaxing stay.
Beautiful location and friendly staff. Lots of nearby attractions.
Had a super few days at the lodges - really enjoyed ourselves and the facilities were great. we had a wide range of age groups in our party but everyone really enjoyed themselves - will be on again to price a week next summer - thank you to all the staff -
Beautiful modern suite Fluffy dressing gown Fun activities Relaxing surroundings Scrumptious brekkie Friendly staff
Location Room Breakfast
Just a suggestion, perhaps include a small fridge in the suite rooms.
Staff, Location, Food, Amenities. A great place to go to get away from it all. We were a couple with 8 month old baby. The staff could have not been more helpful and it is great to see such a well maintained family run business and the effort of all to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Location permits some nice driving explorations of neighboring locations, enjoyed a good day out in Bundoran. We will be back. Thanks All for Great Stay!
Not the hotels fault - the weather was bad, but we still went for walks in the rain as the location and views deserved it!
Excellent accommodations and extremely helpful staff.
Need dryers in the cottages.
Peace and quiet friendly staff
No pub food close by had to drive
The lodge itself was comfortable, clean, and roomy and the site was incredibly beautiful. Michael met us as we arrived, gave us a tour of our lodge to get us acclimated and offered helpful advice about area restaurants and what was available to us on grounds. Sadly we only had a few days and had plans while there that kept us away for much of our time. I wish we'd had more time to take full advantage of the amenities.
We included this as a stop on a sight-seeing tour of Ireland. While it's just over the border into Northern Ireland, an additional fee is charged to bring a rental car into Northern Ireland and of course area restaurants and shops transact business using pounds rather than euros, requiring an additional currency exchange. This wasn't a big disadvantage to us as we planned to travel into Northern Ireland to see the Giant's Causeway anyway and of course can't be considered a failing of the Fermanagh Lakeland Lodges per se, but I offer it as a heads up for those who may be in similar circumstances and unaware.
Excellent facilities, would recommend to anyone.Friendly and helpful staff.
Lovely peaceful location with park and games room to keep the kids entertained. The cottage was really clean and had everything we needed for our stay. we had a lovely short break. Would definitely return again.
Beautiful setting and facilities! Bobby Beares was very welcoming and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Very difficult for us Americans to find. An area map on the confirmation with their location AND signage at the location and instrctions to open the gate are really needed!
I loved the location and the house was well equipped with everything we needed with a young family. The staff were really helpful. I will make a return visit
The facilities for the kids ( 9, 10 and 17 ) were fantastic, having something for all ages. The staff couldn't have done enough to make our stay totally enjoyable. The lodges were fully equipped and very well maintained. Would go back in a heartbeat. The whole family lived it.
Regret not being there for when the restaurant was due to be finished. I'm sure it would have been amazing too.
All household amenities provided, comfortable, clean and what's not to like about having a balcony overlooking the lough which is at the bottom of your garden. Remote and quiet; no noise or light pollution.
