Comfortable, nice breakfast, friendly staff
Too noisy as on main road. Ground floor room needs net curtains on lower half of windows for privacy - had to close the blinds whilst still light!
Breakfast was very good.Waitress was very friendly. Main areas all very comfortable, lovely decor. Quiet room and comfortable bed.
En suite was rather small.
Great breakfast, clean room, an easy walk into town. Good price
Attending a family re-union about 50 yards away so couldn't have been better located!! Staff were excellent. Very clean and no noise from other rooms.
Excellent Breakfast, comfortable and suitable accommodation. The location was perfect for en route travel and finding somewhere to eat nearby. Pleasant and friendly staff.
Very clean Fresh smelling room, bedding and towels Easy, short walk to town Great breakfast Very good value for money
Flexible on early check in and late check out in contrast to reviews I had read. Four poster bed. Handy for football ground.
only one window opened, needed more air in room. Bit pricey - should be about £60 for a double.
Staff and cleanliness
Carlisle is an expensive place to eat out.
Convinient for M6. Nice breakfast. Good wifi.
Welcomed by young man who couldn't tell us any places to eat. Only one towel each no bathmat step out of shower into fitted carpet. Couldn't shower. Scalding or freezing nothing inbetween.
Reception, comfort, food
Very charming and older home with attractive en-suite bedrooms; Central location, within walking distance of train station unless you have a lot of luggage; Bedroom and bathroom were very clean; Owner was very friendly, responsive and accommodating: she readily stored our luggage for 24- hours following our check-out; Would recommend highly and would definitely stay again.
There wasn't anything negative.
Very welcoming and friendly reception. Clean comfortable room and very good breakfast. Would stay again when in area.
walking distance to restaurants. off street parking. easy to find. cleanliness.
on very busy street. traffic noise all night long. did not get hardly any sleep due to noise from traffic. Very basic toiletries. Had to use my own bar of soap as tiny shower sachets not enough for two people showering. Basic breakfast. very impersonal.
It was excellent all round we had two rooms both were a good size and comfortable there was a good choice at breakfast and staff were welcoming and friendly
Very warm welcome and friendly hosts. Our room was very clean and comfortable with nice touches, like bottled water. We really appreciated the sitting-room for guests, with lots of books, games and a Wii for younger guests ( or the young-at-heart!). Excellent breakfast. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Spotlessly clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly hosts, excellent breakfasts, good wifi.
Without help with our luggage the stairs would have been challenging. But we did have help so I shouldn't complain!
Great all round. Nice hosts, who went out of their way to accommodate our early rise by putting breakfast out ready at 5am.
Bit of walk from the station is the only complaint I can think of.
I like the room and its cleanliness. The man there was very kind and helped carry my case for me. I did get an apology for the late breakfast.
Disappoibted with the service at breakfast. Although there was a young girl rashing around, very busy with serving, two ladies in the next table to me and I had to stop her to take our order for breakfast eventually as we had been waiting a long time for her to acknowledge us. She had to ask me 3 times what sort of bread that I wanted. I was told the night before that I could not have breakfast at 8am as they are very busy so had to opt for 8.15am. I duly went down for that time but I did not get it till about 9am. And the sausages and bacon were too salty.
Comfortable, off street parking, walking distance to wonderful Italian restaurant, recommended by host.
It was all good
