The staff that I met were excellent and very willing to help. Compared to some of the bigger hotel groups this hotel was very good value for money. I would certainly stay here again.

The helpfulness of those running the Hotel. The light and airiness of our room. The closeness to the centre of Basingstoke. I could have done with a comfortable armchair

Costs + description as a hotel is misleading - this is a fair B&B in a backstreet - basic and functional - it's prices were higher than the local premier inn which is in a league above for facilities and location

Location As an asthmatic I would have liked to know that my room would be at the top of the house (2 flights of steep stairs).

Ideal location near city centre but without high price tag. Clean rooms with wifi access suitable for business travel and a fresh cooked breakfast in the morning of your choice. Friendly staff. Decor a little dated but clean

It is really near town center. It has all possible things that you can need, even umbrellas for guest use. Everything is clean. And the staff is friendly and helpful. The map on the site and on the booking confirmation is not so accurate, better relay on the address or gps coordinates. The rooms are not so big., But have everything you could need.

5 minute walk to a variety of restaurants. Free wifi. Ample parking. Mattress was hard and broken down. Pillows were flat. Had to kill a large spider in bathroom. Very small room for Executive Double. Overpriced.

Very comfortable - Good breakfast Access for residents is only through the front door up several steps whereas the car park is at the rear of the building via the driveway at the side. This proved very difficult for older preople (we are both in our late 70's/early 80's). This was made even worse due to the very wet weather. I suggest access could be made available through the sun lounge at the rear. Sadly my lady had a fall on the driveway due to a protruding tree root through the tarmac. She suffered a dislocated arm and brusing of the face and spent the first night in A&E hospital. This is not a complaint, but if access had been available for residents at the rear of the building, this accident would not have occurred.
