Isabel welcomed us into her home like true guests. The house is charming and beautifully kept, our room was pretty, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. And the breakfast was top class. Looking forward to going back when we can stay longer. Oh and the mattress! I want one like that :-)
we were made welcome as soon as we arrived and the breakfast was first class
could do with a higher chair to sit on
Everything. Perfect and my favourite place to stay in this area
Very warm welcome from the owner. Excellent facilities. Good night's sleep.
A warm n hospitable welcome, excellent very clean room n a wonderful breakfast to boot - thank you both very much.
Most comfortable bed we have ever slept in, didnt want to get out only we had more shopping to do at gateway. Spotlessly clean and very generous breakfast was provided. Hosts were very friendly and we would certainly stay here if we were in area again.
The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Breakfast was superb and the owners were fantastic. Lovely hosts.
There was nothing wrong. It was wonderful.
For us it was easy to get to from the motorway on our way to Scotland .
The lady (sorry I've forgot your name) was very helpful, very pleasant, made me feel very welcome, the room was clean, well laid out with lovely bedding, a good shower and toilet and plenty of tea and coffee stuff, the breakfast was immense, full Scottish, fruit juice, coffee and toast, just the thing for a wedding hangover, considering most people go here for weddings, it's well placed, just down from the blacksmiths and the registry office, this was £35 less than what my nephew paid for his room up the road and mine was much better,
The warm welcome, lovely comfy bed, spotlessly clean and the fab breakfast!
Having to leave!
Isabelle is so welcoming helpful as we stayed at the fernleigh the night before we were married , lovely stay
Phillip and Isabell are what really make this B&B a great place to stay. The rooms are very well finished with comfortable beds, excellent showers and warm, fluffy towels. The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful and the hosts happy to chat. Their hospitality was so good on my first visit that I stopped off again on my way back down from John O'Groats - will stop off again for sure. There is also a secure shed for anyone needing to store a bicycle if cycling LEJOG like I was. Opposite the train station and not far from the motorways so great location
Welcoming and friendly place. Was just a short stop over but could not fault anything.
Very peaceful and quite. Breakfast full English plus more if you want it. A lovely warm welcome greeted us would stay again.
Isabella the owner is so welcoming and friendly and a credit to the industry. We enjoyed chatting to her over breakfast and her knowledge of the local area. The breakfast was enjoyable and plentiful, with a relaxing atmosphere. The cleanliness is second to none, and we have a very comfortable 2 night stay. The shower room was ample for our needs and modern, and the room spacious enough. The hotel garden is beautiful and well kept, leaving a homely impression when arriving. There is suitable parking facilities for all guests. The overall price is a bargain. Local facilities are okay, however, the real selling point is the location with its closeness to Gretna Green for wedding (you can walk from this hotel) and the main road into/out of Scotland where you can access many attractions.
Nothing to dislike
We enjoyed our stay very much.Good position for roads & shops etc.The owners were very nice & informative .
Some road noise in front room, but just early morning.
whats not to like
Very friendly and welcoming B&B providing an excellent breakfast. Very close to the wedding I attended at Gretna Green. Great value and highly recommended.
Family run cosy guest house .we were made to feel very welcome and nothing too much trouble .very comfy bed and lovely breakfast .
No reading lights .there was a lamp but no bedside table .so had to get out of bed to turn light off .
When we arrived we were made to feel at home. The rooms were clean and very nice. I really can't wait to go back.
Everything! Except (see other)
Onyl one thing: A bit too close to the M73 (M6)
It was homely, Very friendly, and very clean. The owners were very helpful.
Nothing at all on the minus side.
Very welcoming and comfortable stay. Friendly owners. Breakfast excellent. Would readily recommend.
Nothing to dislike
Our hosts were lovely, very welcoming. The breakfast was first-class!
One of the bedrooms was a little small for 2 people and it would be nice for some bedside lamps but the rooms were spotlessly clean.
