B&B staff extremelly friendly. Facilities were impecable clean. Breakfast was just perfect and scottish haggis exquisite.

Beautiful home, friendly and extremely helpful owners. Rooms are large and always warm. Quiet location and close to town and amenities. Breakfasts were excellent. Fresh home cooked food, fruit, cereal and choice of cooked options. Private secure parking. Highly recommend stating at Fernlea.

My wife and I only stayed one night en route to Northern Ireland via Stranrear ferry. Really lovely people and all you could wish for in a b&b, clean, comfortable, good food and good value.

The owner was wonderful, she and her husband went out their way to help us. The place was extremely clean and breakfast was delicious.

Although we had to book out of our room at 10am. The hotel owners allowed us to use the dining/living room until our ferry was due in the afternoon. Brilliant service!!

The young couple who own it are very good communicators, and very helpful, We know the area pretty well, but if that was not the case, they have plenty of local know. We have stayed there before, and would very happily recommend it. It is very clean, very comfortable and we would certainly use Fernlea again, and pass their details on to any family or friends who might be in the area. You get a very good Scottish breakfast too!

Great reviews on the booking system websites etc. and is probably one of the best if not the best b&b in Stranraer. Stayed just one night at the hotel due to a business trip and the location was ideal. The price was also acceptable considering the time of year. Lynn called me before I arrived to check arrival time and if I had any special requirements which was a lovely gesture. Found the hotel very easily (via Sat-Nav) and I had no problem with the location and not a problem going out for the eventing for something to eat. Kenny was very welcoming and helpful. Very nice room, confortable bed, and a very nice breakfast. All in whole a very nice stay and a very nice couple who run it.
