Food was excellent. Location was for us, just what we were looking for.
Room decor and bedding was tired.
Comfortable & excellent value. We had a superb evening meal, if you don't stay there pop in for an evening meal !

the sound of trains early in the morning and late at night
Our dinner was excellent and the young woman who served us was wonderful.
The hotel part and our room was old and very small. It was clean but definitely needed to be renovated.
The staff are very friendly and the view of the Forth Railway Bridge was breath taking.
Thank you to flexibility of friendly staff!
Very friendly family run hotel, good food and excellent tribute night, will return
Easy location for all directions. North/south/ central. Great price.
Breakfast was reheated bacon and sausage. Hotel right under railbridge so constant noise.

The food was excellent.
The room are needing updated.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. Evening meal and breakfast were excellent and restaurant well appointed. Room size was reasonable, with adequate facilities, flat screen TV, tea/coffee and en-suite.
The passing trains, though not too noticeable after a while.
The staff were lovely, very helpful and the evening meal was excellent, and really good value. The food I would rate as the best thing about the Hotel, along with the staff.
This hotel is basically tired, and needs an upgrade, the rooms are ok,but small, the decor is tired, and the bathroom was definitely in need of a good clean and upgrade.
The lady that welcomed us was lovely and very friendly, room was comfortable, clean and smelled lovely. Cooked breakfast was fantastic and options of cereal, orange juice and toast too
Unfortunately booking.com states 6 miles from the air port ... It's actually over 12 and a £30 taxi trip away ... Do not be fooled into thinking it's close
The staff could no have been more friendly or helpful.
The views are amazing (even though am a fifer) the staff were very helpful, and the rooms had nothing to complain about
Bed was hard.
Very nice location in cute, quaint village. Great for economical overnight stay before a flight from Edinburgh if you are coming down from the north and have a car.
bit seedy, outdated, but comfortable enough.
Location for where we needed to be was good. Easy to find from the bridge. Meals were good. Bed was comfortable.
Lack of parking. Wasn't able to be be served meal until they found it convenient. Room had no hairdrier. Hotel in general is Vintage and badly in need of upgrading/renovation. Hole in bathroom roof, shower head was taped to wall. Screw sticking out floor tiles.
Hotel needs updating
Nice breakfast and dinner, small family run hotel, pleasant staff
Getting close to needing refurbishment. Stairs a bit tricky with heavy cases

Piped music in the bar area, not loud but the content
Too far from airport
Both evening meal and breakfast were excellent.
