Friendly staff, great location for 2 key customers, and good value for money
Wifi connection this time was very inconsistent (previously OK) and bathroom a little untidy.
great shower large room 4-poster bed great breakfast
We brought some DVDs to watch because the room description advised TV with DVD player. Hotel staff advised none of their rooms have DVD players and never have. It was a cold night and we would have liked to have been able to get the room a little warmer.
Had an enjoyable stay. Room was good. Would go again.
Sat Nav doesn't take you to the hotel; it takes you to the middle of nowhere which on a dark and rainy evening was not great. Receptionist said that customers often mention this.......
Location, size of room, appearance of room, cleanliness of bedroom and batroom, appearance of building fromm outside
Breakfast. Poor quality food badly presented and appallingly cooked. Shabby/ dirty common parts. Cigarette litter outside front door. Even if breakfast is "free" or included don't eat it.
Staff tried really hard to help.
Maintenance of the hotel is not great.
The room, entertainment, buffet, the general atmosphere of the place. Staff were very friendly from the receptionist to the cleaners
The room was very spacious & it was nice to have a full length mirror. The shower was perfect.
It had been snowing & it was very icy in the car park. A bit of clearing would have helped in walking to reception from the car.
The room and staff, including breakfast offer a great value for money.
Pleasent Staff Family Room had plenty of space Check in was quick Breakfast was ok
The Hotel needs a bit of TLC
The location and structure ,old English building.
The whole ambience of Fieldhead is lovely.Had a fantastic stay, food was lovely ,staff very friendly, room was wonderful, clean and very comfortable.Would definitely come back and happily recommend
Lovley breakfast, the waitress was very friendly and helpfull.
Had to wait a while to check in as there was no one on reception, the phone that was on the reception desk that said if no one was there to ring, it just rang out. Also there was no shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom.
Breakfast was cold when served. Carling was off at bar leaving more expensive Peroni and Stella as lager options. Kept waiting at Reception in morning as Receptionist checked a delivery in from brewery.
The bed was big and comfortable
a need to decorate the interior a lick of paint here and there
My friend treated me to a room upgrade for my birthday (room 6) and the bed was fabulous, best night sleep ive had in a long time. I have had a bad back recently but found that the mattress was extremely comfortable and i would like to know what it is so that i can buy one for home! The Queen tribute night was also very entertaining.
Great big comfy bed. Nice sized rooms. Bar area warm and quite welcoming and comfortable.
A little tired and in some areas in need of a good scrub and tidy up.
Excellent stay, even entertainment in the evening,
We use the Fieldhead every December when we come to a Christmas party close by. It's a decent 3* hotel.
It could do with a lick of paint in places.
This hotel is good value for money as a 3 star. Staff very welcoming & polite. Bar looked very warm & inviting with a real fire & Christmas decorations. Food average, nothing special & quite costly. Would definately return. Breakfast was served up until 11.00am which was nice.
I paid an extra £20 for an upgraded room, picture on the website showed a four poster bed, however the room was still relatively small & all I could see as a difference was another single bed. In fact, I think that it was a family room. However had an extra hour before check out which was 12.00.
Food was very good
Evening Meal, Quick and Good Quality
Room is clean, however requires painting
The well trained and friendly staff. The warmth and the really hot water. The good, value for money food.
If one was nit picking, the front of the hotel needed glasses, tins and bottles picking up perhaps a little faster after the previous night.
All of it
Nothing to dislike.
Location, value for money, size of room, staff were friendly
Evening menu was not as described and no reason was given when asked. Actual food was cooked and presented well. staff seemed very busy, although room was clean attention to detail isneeded
