Score from 12 reviews Wonderful
Great location, beautiful walks for our two dogs, and we were made very welcome. Will definitely return.
This is a great b and b- really clean, comfortable, and friendly with advise and assistance on hand from the hosts Alan and Pauline. It felt a real home from home- a lot of work goes into such a relaxing experience! There is a brilliant pub very near with good food and the location is fantastic.
Allan was an excellent host in his home, breakfast was very good especially the haggis. His knowledge of the area was excellent, loved the maps he drew for us to find our way around.
Alan and Pauline are the most gracious hosts. They could not have done more to make us feel at home. Our stay was so incredible we came back for another go. The location is ideal, just an hours drive from Heathrow, in the heart of the Cotswolds. On our next visit in May 2015 were staying for a week. We couldn't be happier.
We had to leave.
We had a wonderful host Alan Graham. He was like family to us. We were traveling for our first time to England and had no car. Alan saved us by driving us around as otherwise we would have never gone to Stratford Upon Avon or back to the train station. He treated us like royalty and we loved the breakfasts he served. He also is an animal lover and it was fun to share the house with cat and dogs. The Plough is a pub just 200 yards from his house and we went there every night to hang out with the locals.
This is a charming B&B with great gardens and outdoor area. Indoors, the lounge, conservatory and dining room are all very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The room with king size bed was very comfortable. Alan is an excellent host who provides all those little extras that go to make a great stay even better. He made us feel very welcome, offering refreshments on arrival and offered helpful suggestions on planning our sightseeing itinerary each day. Not only that, Alan is an excellent chef and his gourmet breakfasts (particularly the poached eggs, or scrambled eggs Queen Mary style) are just perfect. It was sad when we had to leave such a wonderful place.
Warmth of welcome Lots of travel/tourism tips Breakfast was generous Very lovely location Gardens Comfortable room and large bathroom
Bit out of the way Phone service and Internet was v dodgy (area-wide though)
Beautiful location Grand house, made to feel at home Quirky owner breakfast
A bit expensive for single travellers
Alan and Pauline were so accommodating. A really lovely couple.
The place was fantastic, and Alan the owner did everything posssible to make our stay special
The location was great although a bit difficult to find. Upon arriving our hosts invited us for a glass of wine and were very friendly. The B&B is a gorgeous home and conveniently located a rock throw away from a nearby pub and a couple miles away from Bourton on the Water. Breakfast was the best I have had yet at a B&B. Would definitely recommend!
We couldn't stay longer!
Stayed three nights there a couple of weeks ago and had a really enjoyable stay. Alan and Pauline are excellent hosts and make you very welcome. Alan has a wealth of local knowledge, so you won't be stuck for any ideas! We also had a very comfortable room and the mornings were welcomed with a full breakfast to set you up for the day. We still have to work those off! Thank you both.
The host is very nice and friendly. House and Garden are very beautiful. A quiet place.
Alan and Pauline went out of their way to not only make us feel comfortable, but also to feel special. The home is beautiful and immaculate. Our room was comfortable and quiet. But best of all was the conversation and the breakfasts. Alan even had some special breakfast surprises for us to enhance our stay. We can't say enough about how welcome we felt and how lovely the setting was - even for the already spectacular Cotswolds region. When we return, I can't see us staying anywhere else.
...it rained part of the time, but, hey, it's England!
We were extremely well looked after The location was absolutely stunning
Beautiful house in beautiful surroundings
cramped bedroom in attic which wasn't serviced. En suite on lower floor reached by a steep curved staircase.
Proper address for GPS would be helpful.
The lovely house circum tranquil countryside with a very kind household
Nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful hosts of this superb B & B. Guests are treated as treasured members of the family abd enjoy luxury and serenity in a most beautiful part of the Cotswolds. We couldn't speak more highly of both Alan and Pauline who are the perfect hosts. We just didn't want to leave. A million thanks our stay was most memorable. Bruce & Pamela Perth Western Australia
Having to leave!
The house and gardens were beautiful and immaculate as was the welcome. Alan and Pauline were delightful, nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel very at home. We couldn't fault a thing and will be delighted to return next year. Brad particularly liked the donkeys and I was impressed with the sherry in the room! Thanks for a lovely stay.
Loved the welcome from Pauline and Alan, the beautifully appointed rooms with every possible need covered. Helpful when planning our days and open to including us in their World Cup watching!
The brief stay!
Liked the relaxed family atmosphere of the place.
Having to climb over the bed to get in or out.
Location in small village. Local pub just down the lane. Actual house a beautiful Cotswolds stone building. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Loved the two Burmese cats Monty and Paddington.
Wonderful home, beautifully furnished and with a very gracious and generous host.
Just loved the whole experience
