Beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed. Lovely and clean and smelt nice as we walked in the door. Easy walk to nearby pub for excellent meal.
Couldn't connect to wifi in our room
We loved everything about our stay, the accommodation was exceptional. Staff extremely helpful and welcoming. Lovely cake and tea on arrival (inclusive). Breakfast wonderful. Loved the animals in the rear field.
Absolutely nothing everything was great.
Extremely nice room (Lavender family room). Lots of character Extremely friendly, welcoming, efficient staff. I even got a cup of tea and some chocolate cake when I arrived!
So close to a busy road, light sleepers may not get much sleep...
Welcoming was superb made us feel really comfy, room was great, included a fridge with water as well as tea coffee etc, would highly recommend it
We rented 3 bedrooms, including a family room. The host was very friendly. We arrived late. She helped us to reserve a table in a pub for our late dinner. We received a warm welcome when checking in. The garden was beautiful. Every corner was good for photo taking. We loved the breakfast which was made by order. My kids loved to feed the ponies and the goats after breakfast.
My sister did not like the mattress, but the rest of us were fine with it.
Our double bedroom and its facilities. The breakfast - a wide selection of dishes including fresh fruit, cereals and variants of Full English. The surrounds - gardens, animals, children's' play ground. The feminine touch in décor and facilities. The host and hostess could not have been more charming and interesting.
Not much. Steep stairs and exit from the property to the main road. Benefits far exceeded what we did not like
Enjoyed my 4 night stay and hope to stay here again. Room was comfortable with several nice little touches (fridge with pint of milk, different chocolate biscuit each day, towel tied with ribbon, etc). Well organised breakfast room with plenty of lovely fresh fruit each day to put on my breakfast cereal. Spacious parking too!
Very enjoyable stay, lovely outdoor facilities such as the decking and animals! Very nice breakfast and kind helpful owner
Too hot to sleep, a fan would have been perfect
Friendlyness, helpfullness and hospitality of a caring host. Cleanliness, comfort and super breakfast. The lovely gardens and seating area for each room.
Unfortunately due to prior planning we only had two nights stay
Very friendly & helpful staff
Very clean. More than enough for 2 people with a little private patio - nice extra bonus. Nice spacious bathroom. Lovely breakfast and Terri was very friendly.
Chris and Terri were very welcoming, friendly, rooms very high standard and very comfortable, breakfast was amazing. highly recommended
The sausages and wet roon
Soundproofing and noisy road
Warm friendy welcome . Facilities were very good . We would stay again ,very good value 1st class breakfast
....like the small chalet style rooms for the guests. ....the space we were free to enjoy outside and the play equipment provided.
shower cubicle a little small for those of wide berth! and the double bed as apposed to a king size bed.
Hospitality, location, beautiful views, relaxing atmosphere, lovely breakfast
Great location. Lovely room. Very friendly staff
A lovely welcome Nice room Good breakfast does what it says on the time
the rain on Sunday LOL
Walk in shower was great Parking was easy Spacious room Owners were very helpful with tips on York Comfy bed Smelt lovely as you walked in to room spotlessly clean
£30 in taxi fares to go to York and back at night which was expensive but price of stay was cheaper than staying in York centre
We received a cup of tea on our arrival and found our hosts extremely helpful. Delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. There was plenty of parking and the location is good.
We had a lot of trouble opening the door to our room as it is an old fashioned lock.
The bed was nice and the room was quiet. We liked the little chocolates in our room.
The room was over-cleaned, all of our things had been tidied away. The shower was small.
Very friendly staff. Reasonable distance from the York downtown. Traveling with my wife and two small kids for vacation. My wife and kids love the cottage. We checked in around 23:30, and the owner even waited for us until everything was settled.
The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Room was amazing with a massive bathroom. Loved the mini zoo right outside our door! Also a top notch breakfast
The walls were thin and there was a bit of traffic noise although ear plugs were provided. Overall not too bad tho
