Location

Rooms were disgusting. Drains on the carpet. Roof tiles marked with water damage. No tv. Curtains were a grey looking net but believe they were White at some point... Entrance hallway and stairs carpet were thilthy... Room locks were not secure.. Hard push and they opened... Would not return due to bites on my body... Vile!!

I liked that it was only a 5 min walk from the train station and the beach was just around the corner and all the shops were within walkin distance.

I didn't like the room as it was too small to be a double room and the shower curtain had mold all over it and the ceiling in the bathroom had damp patches everywhere and the room was cold at night.

Breakfast was included and the staff were very accommodating for this, nothing seemed like it would be too much trouble. Very good location, right by the north station and a lot of the main attractions. Comfy bed!!

We weren't shown how to use the shower so it took 5mins to work out we had to press a power switch to get a hot water and even after that the water still wasn't very warm!!

very dirty had not been clean in months, blood up the staire case and poo on the wall, pubic hair in the shower (not just a couple either). noise

We did have a number of issues whilst staying here but the staff put theirselves out to rectify them. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and we were impressed with the efficiency of the breakfast in a morning. Although they don't provide TVs in the rooms, when they realised we had a young child and we wouldn't be out late at nights they kindly provided one for us to borrow.

The internet suggested that credit cards would be accepted and it wasn't until we arrived that we were told it was cash only at the moment.

Walking distance to the pubs

Strong smell in the rooms. TV didnt work, shower Didny work and the lock on our door didnt work. The hotel is a state and needs updating badly!

Nothing regarding the Accommodation

Nothing about it! I suggest you remove this from the website... Cleanliness was appalling... Beds full of bed bugs, I am covered in head to toe with them and I needed to seek medical advise, hairs in the cups, pillows matted in brown stuff... Terrible terrible experience. The only thing there that was value for money was the breakfast..the room,,from the carpet ..dog hairs...toilet dident flush proper..windows dident close as it rain hard and got cold..Know heating.....and the bed was nothing but sring wires..and..two pieces,,of hard board under the mattress..was shocking ..all pictures of room I have ..but I carnt show you the springs in the mattress..I Told the hotel manger Mario..of this ...The shocking nigth no rest....becose of the mattress ..He said ill go and check ?..this being room 9......and to think I got this from the telly hotwire,com......

Do not stay at this hotel... Unless you love bed bugs! Hotel was unclean, smelt of urine and has a serious infestation of bed bugs! Don't think we would have noticed had we not been sober but was rudely awoken at 01.30 by the bed bugs, we immediately packed our suitcases and meticulously went through our clothing to make sure non came home with us! Not even interested in a refund just wanted to leave the hell hole!

The location.

The whole hotel was absoloutly filthy. Our room looked as if it hadnt been cleaned for weeks. Bathroom door was hanging off as it tried to hide the disgusting interior, previous guests mess in toilet, urine stained flooring and the basin was full off hair. The beds were stained but bedding was clean. A plastic bag covered the smoke alarm ??? The carpet looked as if it had never seen a hoover in months. Please do not take a chance with this HOTEL......Beware of them asking for payment before you see the room !!!!!

Staff we met were friendly. Place was filthy and smelt bad. Fortunately we only wanted somewhere to sleep. There are better and cheaper to stay within 50yds of this awful place. I should imagine repeat business in non existent.

We recieved good reception everybody was polite and friendly.

due to firgrove changing its name it took us a while to find it. Also on arrival they gave our room away so it took them ages to find us another one. But then everything was ok after that.

-Sehr dreckiges und heruntergekommenes Hotel -Bild der Fasade auf booking.com stimmt nicht überein -Frühstück ist ein Witz -Grobe Mängel in Zimmern (kalte Dusche, Fernseher funktioniert nicht, undichte Fenster) Nicht buchen...!

The staff were really friendly and helpful and with a lovely breakfast included it was really good value for money and with a location so near to all the attractions and nightlife and town centre it was ideal.

Unfortunately the room was tidy but not clean, saying that though the bedding was clean it was just a case of hoovering and polishing etc, the cups were dirty there was food on the mirror and a lot of dust and dirt.

The guest house is in a prime location for the attractions, but the facilities need vast improvement for it to be competitive with others in the same price band.

The room was not clean, the windo in there did not close correctly and the glass was broken. The ceiling was suffering from damp and the carpets were very dirty.

the bed sheets were stained and covered in hairs, the toilet was filthy covered in pubic hairs,the shower was covered in body hairs and the shower heads covered in filth ( showers totally unusable) , mould all round shower trays, , the telly was making buzzing noises , holes in ceiling , and dirty carpets , the towels provided had holes in , the breakfast was good but the cutlery was pure manky and the teapot was really minging looking oh and the bar which was meant to be open had no juice left and not much alcohol left either probably cause the old guy serving had drank it all as he was steaming drunk , after paying 150 quid for 1 night for 2 rooms i was really disappointed, the place should be shut down to the public ..very serious cleanliness issues... THERE WAS BED BUGS, MY DAUGHTER WOKE UP WITH LOTS OF BITES......

Room was dirty had cigarette buts on floor moved to another room which was even worse.. Windows falling off
