Stayed for one night with my 13 year old grandson, nice place, good location by the river 10 minutes walk to centre of Ironbridge. Owners were nice friendly people and provided a good breakfast and unlimited supply of tea and coffee etc. Would have no hesitation to stay there again.

Location was fab - just walk down the garden and you're on the Severn with a path that takes you through a gorgeous park to the famous iron bridge, shops, restaurants etc. Hotel full of quirky -charm. Hosts proper down-to-earth genuinely helpful and friendly. Superb value for money

Only one small niggle in that room 2 had a tiny shower/toilet cubicle without an extractor so my two friends and I had to plan carefully when we were going to 'use' the toilet!

We enjoyed being by the river and had very good breakfast, comfortable night sleep.

Awkward bathroom door, bed wasn't made and room tidied daily, interruption during breakfast (wanted to talk to us throughout meal).

Friendliness of the staff/owners. The breakfast was good. Off road parking on a very busy road.

Our room was right next to a busy road and the windows did little to dampen the sound. Mainly because they were very old, and did not shut properly. There was some very poor fitting old secondary glazing but not effective. In need of a makeover, the owners are trying their best and I imagine once finished it will be nice. The views of the three power station towers from behind are not the best, but would have preferred a room at the back off the main road. We did request a quiete room on our booking, but I suppose they were taken.

Leo and Lesley and who own The Firs were absolutely lovely, we were welcomed with a cup of tea before we were shown to our rooms which was lovely! It was also nice to chat about the local area and they gave us their recommendations of places to visit. The rooms were comfortable, with everything you need for a few days away - tea/coffee facilities, TV, wardrobe and ensuite .Beds were comfortable, but struggled sleeping down to the heat..Breakfast was fantastic!! The breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked and very generous portions. There was also a good range of cereals. The location is ideal if visiting Ironbridge, a ten minute walk to the bridge. Overall we had a good stay, and felt very welcomed. We would return again but possible tale two rooms so we have more space .

I found the room we had was a little tight for four with luggage, and the ensuite was small
