Being close to our grandson at Moorlands. Bedroom with wet room. Politeness of staff. Meals.
Lack of signal for mobile and wifi.
Had a really relaxing week-end
Evening meal could have been better
we felt that from the moment we arrived to leaving we felt that the staff care & the service was second to none, will recommend to friends & family.
Very attentive staff comfortable bed nice room and facilities. Very good restaurant. We enjoyed our mini break away with easy access to the New Forest.
Staff was very friendly and helpful nothing to much trouble. Room was spotless, bed very comfortable. Food was outstanding and plentiful. Very pleased with our stay will go again.
Bed was comfortable
Room was not clean Curtains were shabby Pub decor was dated
Very friendly staff and service excellent. Beautiful location and Jazz night was fantastic .
very good staff and food good breakfast
drinks a bit on the pricey side
Great base location for New Forest and Bournemouth Beaches.Stayed in Coach house 2nts quiet and comfortable accommodation,Courteous and helpful staff.Spacious Bar had welcoming atmosphere Breakfast on first day was lovely, fresh cooked to order and plenty of it. We will stay again but not with breakfast
Was very surprised to be charged £4.50 for a pint of Cider especially as the stronger one was cheaper. Breakfast on 2nd morning was a poor one appeared to have been cooked and kept warm for quite a while and looked a sad specimen compared to day before. When asked on leaving if we had any complaints breakfast was mentioned and I was told "Different Chef". This in my opinion shouldn't make a difference to the quality of the meal as the price was the same for both breakfasts
Very friendly staff, always smiling and happy to help. Went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was excellent. Room was comfortable and well decorated.
Noisy generator on top of the kitchen roof, didn't keep us up at night but did disturb the tranquility slightly.
Friendly, welcoming staff all round. Comfortable, clean, good sized room, which despite being near the exit from the car park was quiet. Excellent food both in the evening and at breakfast. A dog friendly hotel.
Not a lot. A very minor point was the lack of a shaver point in the bathroom.
Very good all round over night stay, friendly staff, nice room, good food both dinner and breakfast, oh with some excellent beer!
Only problem shower door didn't close properly.
room Location Quiet wifi staff very friendly and helpful
no steak on menue no smooth beer
Lovely country style 'local' pub with inviting menus, although we didn't eat there. Local jams/honeys/chutneys/eggs etc available to buy, dogs sleeping in the corner. Great feel to it. Bed in our room very comfortable. Toiletries a nice touch. Location is perfect if attending a wedding at Sopley Mill.
Our room was very tired - obvious damp problem as wallpaper coming away from ceiling. Tiny TV although I should have noticed this from the pictures. For £110 we expected a high standard of decor, not nets with stains on them and a bathroom that looked like it needed a good scrub. We did mention all this to them on check out and they said others had commented the same, so it's probably on the cards to revamp. Drinks very expensive - a beer and a lemonade £8.15. Nuts equally expensive.
Food was good, service pleasant.
Tired and dated room, booked a 'deluxe double' but room was tired with water stains on ceiling and peeling paint on windows. Should be sold as standard double only as expectationswere much higher
staff excellent, comfy sleep,
food had rump steak.. steak gristly.. chips were pale... and who on earth puts a pile of cooked slimy onions on a plate yuk (should be onion rings) but breakfast was excellent
The fact that it was billed/charged as a luxury room: 2ft 6"! single beds. Very hot/stuffy room with no air con and one broken noisy fan. Dreadful water pressure and too much softener in water.
we had a lovely two nights here - cycling in the morning & visiting the beaches late afternoon. We ate our evening meals at the hotel and the food was first class. It is obviously a very popular place with a large clientele but in spite of the numbers food arrived promptly
there was nothing to dislike
Great food, especially the crab sandwich.
Plenty of off road parking for my large van. Food good and atmosphere friendly.
Rooms dated and door lock on room 1 was not very secure. Breakfast was good but slow to serve
Ok location. Near Christchurch. Excellent breakfast.
Rooms are a bit tired, and need updating.
Staff very pleasant and friendly.
Very slow service in dining room. Meals quite expensive. Breakfast buffet table very sparse and needs to be covered to keep flies off The whole property needs decorating..
Comfort. Food Location
Assistant manageress tried hard and gave excellent service.Evening meals were good as was the service.Beer and wine very good.Nice 'old fashioned' ambience in public areas.
Breakfast was a disaster on day one due to very poor service.Day two better but unrefined service. A lot of persistent flies around in public areas. Room was very small and not worth the money. The coach house would benefit from some attention e.g paintwork, door hangers missing, bulbs not working.
Good area, nice staff, good breakfast, easy parking.
As other people have commented, Room 7 overlooks flat roof of kitchen area and ducting fan (?) going all night. We were staying for 3 nights and after mentioning it after our first night we were moved to another room.
