Only problem we had was parking. We had to park a good bit away from the hotel in another carpark which was pay and display!
I didn't think the tv was great, not enough channels, no music channel at all.
I really liked the location of this hotel. Not many shops around, but the choice of shops was good.
Was in single room which was nice but right next to lift so every time lift went up or down it made a noise which woke me up.
Food was nice, room was clean, location great.
Bed a bit too firm for our taste.
Central hotel, good breakfast, dram on arrival, pleasant friendly staff.
Wait at reception one person on duty. Parking not available in hotel car park occupied by others out with. Two single beds joined together.
Staff were very helpful. Dinner was fine better if not kept under heat. Breakfast fine. Clean room easy access to bar good band
First room we got wasn,t clean but receptionist was very helpful and found us another room which was lovely.
Meals were delicious. staff very friendly.
Bedroom far too small to be classed as double. 1 chair for 2 people!
Excellent public areas. Good breakfast.
Was made to leave luggage in the cleaners closet as arrived before check in and return was later than check out. For a nice big hotel, could have found a place to leave our bags as every other hotel does!!
The location and the room was perfect! The breakfast and service at breakfast was fab. Like the fact the room had a nice view too.
Parking was a nightmare- I slipped away from the wedding we attended to book in and struggled to park, had to hang around for ages- not happy. Hotel wanted £40 to allow an early check in which I thought was excessive. Walls are quite thin- was kept awake during night by a guest in another room snoring. Staff friendly although obviously playing the "welcome to Scotland tourist card"
Breakfast was enjoyable although not perhaps as wide a choice as other hotels. Room was clean and spacious for short stay. Perfectly adequate hotel for one night.
Stuffy atmosphere in foyer. Needed fresh air. Very poor wifi reception. Claimed to be in all rooms but not so.
Extremely comfortable beds. Central position in town.
The staff were lovely. Friendly and helpful
We had to decline the first two rooms offered as they weren't satisfactory (decor and location). It would have been appreciated if we had been given the third (refurbished) room at the outset (first impressions count). However staff were very helpful in resolving this.
The hotel is quite central for walking around the immediate area including the local theatre, restaurants and pubs. The staff were very helpful, positive and welcoming. The buffet breakfast was excellent.
I had to have my room changed due to an extremely noisy flush toilet which I was assured was the fan! Strange electrics if the fan made such a racket when the toilet was flushed. Nice second bedroom, but the fan in the bathroom stayed on 24 hours. Although I had reported these things at the time, when I mentioned them on departure, nothing had actually been reported in the maintenance book. I seriously think there is a lack of efficient management in this hotel.
The location of the hotel; car parking available; Food was good. Staff, although overworked in the dining room, were very cheerful and friendly.
Did not like room we were in looked out onto roofs which looked like staff quarters
Good location of hotel
Can not fault this hotel 1 bit the staff on arrival were very friendly and welcoming room was very nice decent size for myself partner and our young daughter, breakfast was also excellent with a wide variety of choice both hot and cold staff were also on the ball if they noticed ur cup empty they would ask if u would like a refill. Overall 10/10 will defo be going back to stay
Having stayed at Fishers before we were pleasantly surprised as it appears to be better managed now. The bathroom did not appear to have been cleaned before we got the room. Our room did not access the wifi.
The staff were courteous and helpful, the meals were good and the hotel is convenient for the town centre.
Nice meals very friendly staff close to shops
The receptionist susie was very welcoming and friendly.nice woman.the room was perfect bed was comfortable ana staff very very helpful. Will be visiting again soon
Hotel bar closed
Friendly, courteous staff. Excellent accommodation & breakfast. Good value..
Could have been a little more selection of continental breakfast if you didn't want the full Scottish. Ie, cheeses, hams and yogurts.
Location and wee dram on arrival :)
This is our 4th time very disappointed this time between some staff an not doing our room !!
