The location was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. Our bedrooms were very poor indeed and badly in need of a refurb. As a result felt very uncomfortable. Bathrooms in particular were dreadful. |

I had phoned ahead and asked if poss to have one of the refurbished rooms as it was a special birthday we were going for, i was told it would be an extra £25 a night to secure one which i declined, but was told she would mark it down as a request when we arrived i was not given a refurbed room and the receptionist told me she never had the authority to change a room and if i wanted a change i was to hunt down the Duty manager and ask him, i said i would see how our room was first, we went to the room which was actually a large clean if somewhat dated and tired looking but we decided it would be fine for our 2 nights stay, we unpacked and headed out and to my amusement/shock as we passed the receptionist desk a guest was complaining about his room and the same receptionist was telling him no bother we will get you another room and sort it out for you to which i was not the best impressed, the breakfast was average the drinks bill in the hotel lounge absoulutly ridiculos £7.30 for a pt of Stella served in a Tennents glass and a single JD and draft coke is just not acceptable and we had one then left, all other bars shut at 11pm during the week so dont go thinking your going to have any sort of nightlife |

The room size was excellent for ourselves, baby boy and our dog, Excellent that dogs were allowed as made the trip much easier for us. Choice of breakfast available to us was excellent and food delicious. Waiting staff could not be more helpful. Breakfast service could be better organised as staff seemed run off their feet, this was apparent when we were given a dirty highchair for baby and had to request a cloth to clean it before our baby could eat from it. |

I cannot adequately describe our disappointment in the hotel. The accommodation was of such a poor and frankly uninhabitable standard - damp, dusty, unclean. I refused to even take a shower and we declined the breakfast included in the price. I have already sent a complaint and photographs to the hotel group. |

liked my stay at pitlochry and the hotel was fine and central but was not happy as yes i did book two rooms one for my wife and i and the other for our daughter wihich i got one family room and one single my daughter decided that she didnt want to stay in the room by herself so as she is only seventeen so she stayed in the room with us i told the guy at the desk that we wouldnt be using the single room and he said he would see what he could do well he did nothing and i ended up paying for a sing le room which cost £35 each night total of £70 for nothing so i did enjoy my stay at the hotel but i dont like being made a fool of yes the car park at the side of pub could be done with getting a new surface and some lights |

Ideal for our theatre break. Room was recently refurbished and very comfortable. Breakfast choice was excellent. Staff were courteous and helpful. Felt that room availability could have been earlier than 4pm.Twin room had only one chair with no stool even for second person. |

I asked for a quiet room with a shower. The room was not only quiet, but had a lovely view of the garden and the ensuite shower was clean and efficient. |

The staff in the residents lounge were very friendly and helpful as were the staff serving breakfast There was a broken sewer and the smell in the lobby and downstairs corridors was disgusting. When we complainted to the reception the guy on duty's answer was "So What", absolutely shocking way to treat customers. He should go on a First Impressions Count training course as he is certainly not an asset to the hotel. |

Roomy clean single rooms. Central location Breakfast was a shambles. I noted this point on another website before I booked and yet it appears nothing has been improved. The floor of the larger dining room felt sticky underfoot and the lighting was poor making the room very gloomy. I am answering 'yes' to the next question but only if the rate was the same. I would not recommend if I had paid more. |

This would be the 3rd stay in 4 years. We like the location. The breakfast was poor quality, a very small portion plus you had to go into an other room for your toast and fruit juice.Ther was at least 10 people waiting and when we got back, the breakfast had gone cold.If you are paying for the breakfast at £15.00 you should get waited on.Nobody asked was everything ok, even when we checked out nobody asked. The standard as dropped at Fishers. |

Location in terms of proximity to Pitlochry Theatre Bedroom: very noisy extractor fan in bathroom; inadequate size of room heater; broken bed springs; carpet (stained) replacement overdue; buffet breakfast food not piping hot; check-in delayed until 16.30 |

The dining area and bar staff were excellent, very helpful, polite, friendly and co-operative. The bed was comfortable, and reception & lounge bar areas were pleasant. The room was shabby, curtains were hanging off, carpet was dirty. In the toilet, wallpaper was peeling from walls and shower area needed regrouting. Asked for curtain to be fixed but nothing was done. Parking was non existant and (at night) it was suggested that I park in a public paying carpark and walk up a dark lane to the hotel. Had to park a distance away on public street & pass drunken young people to enter hotel - didn't feel at all safe. Would definately not stay in this hotel again. |

Thought the reception and lounge area very smart. Our room was clean and served the purpose but the bathroom ceiling of room 64 was disgusting and should not have been let out. We did pass our coments on to reception, I have stayed in' hostels' and never have encountered a ceiling like this one. If foreign tourists had been in this room what impression would they have!!!! Think the service at breakfast could be bit more orgainised when busey.Like the tables being cleared quickly, people coming into for breakfast and no clear tables. The cooked breakfast bar would be better situated behind where the they come out of kitchen so as not walking through when replenishing the food. |

A lot of upgrading still needs to be done, such as elevators/lifts to floors in the non-upgraded section. Fortunately I was in the upgraded part and had an excellent room with a cushion which matched the wallpaper - what more could a girl ask? I do think the reception staff could do with going on a "charm course" but let's face it, the public can be horrible and I would not like their job in having to face some of them. |

With a traditional welcome and multi-lingual staff, the hotel offers a Scottish Restaurant, McNabs Bistro & Bar, a lounge and leisure club with heated indoor swimming pool and sauna. |
The Claymore is an attractive Victorian residence within its own award-winning gardens. The hotel overlooks Cluniemore Hills, yet only 2 minutes' walk from Pitlochry town centre. |
