The bed was huge, the food was great
There wasn't much atmosphere in the dining room - very quiet.
Both the afternoon tea ANDY the evening meal were perfect. Both the ambience and the staff were beyond expectations
Location, staff, accommodation, food, restaurant ambience where all that we expected, and more. We will visit again.
We had nothing to dislike!
Attentive and friendly staff.
The hotel itself The Room The home cooked biscuits
Menu said there was a set price for 2 courses - we had 2 courses and were charged 50%more - because of "what we chose"! (There was no mention of this on the menu). Manager was rather snotty when we questioned the bill. We paid but won't be going back.
Everything a hotel should be, which is done with a quiet efficiency. A nice touch was a little printed weather report for the next day, left when the bed was turned down.
We read an internet review that said don't miss the afternoon tea the scones are to die for. We followed said instructions and concur that when at Fishmore hall treat yourselves to the scones it would be rude not to. We also took the tasting menu for dinner which was all scrumptious the venison was the stand out dish for me.
Location, room, decor, gourmet food, great service (dinner)
Appalling service at breakfast; 45 minutes waiting for a simple meal, ignored by staff, no apology offered - and the place wasn't even busy! We have stayed several times before, but this was enough to make me question if we will go back any time soon. Shame.
Spacious room, very good breakfast
Fod and service was excellent
Room was too hot
The room was comfortable with a decent walk in shower and water pressure. A dog bowl and mat in the room was a nice touch. Food quality and presentation in the restaurant was excellent but... Breakfast was lovely. Staff could not have been more charming and helpful.
When we arrived, the room was dreadfully over-heated so we had to turn off all the radiators and open all the windows. This meant we were badly disturbed by the large and noisy kitchen extractor fan under the room's window which ran late into the evening and from very early in the morning. A bath would have been nice in a room at this price. Towels should be checked for holes before being placed in rooms. Restaurant and 'bar' food was very pricey
Shower could have been more powerful in relation to size of shower room size
every thing nothing else to be said
Huge clean comfy modern rooms, fantastic food. Staff charming and attentive. I brought my elderly parents here and they loved it too. Can you add a pool next time??
A superb room, very friendly staff and great evening meal
relaxed comfortable , friendy staff ,good service , good food and drink
very large and open shower with no blinds at bathroom window bathroom floor very slippy when wet
lovely room very relaxing and peaceful food high standard staff excellent
smell of local sewage works shower floor too slippery
The staff were extremely courteous, pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious with a huge bed and luxurious bathroom. The breakfast was more than ample and beautifully cooked and presented. We stayed for 3 nights and wished we had longer. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.
Location and grounds &'tasty breakfast
Lacks real personality - no comfortable lounge/bar area - unimaginative decor and furnishings. Got room above kit hen first night - noisy - but moved to quieter room following evening - we appreciated this.
Ludlow Cows in field!
Room was bland - at odds with the country house personality the hotel advertises. Also ours overlooked the bins The shower leaked and bulb had gone Staff were hit and miss - wrong menu and forgotten items "Courtesy" newspaper charged for - really? at £220 per night
Friendly and comfortable atmosphere.
Two easy chairs in the bedroom would have been great as one evening we were unable to use the lounge as it was booked for a function.
Staff were friendly, helpful and well trained - a real plus! The taster menu was great fun and a real mix of wonderful flavours cooked to perfection.

Hotel located in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Warm welcome on arrival. Room well appointed with every possible requirement and spotlessly clean. Afternoon tea served in the garden within 10 minutes of request.Speedy check out by friendly and helpful reception. Food throughout delicious and cooked to perfection.
Table booked in Bistro for 8.00pm but was not shown to table until almost 9.00pm. Service appeared concentrated more on guests eating in the Dining Room with six course taster menu than on Bistro diners. Although the meal was excellent it mad it a late evening by the time coffee was served.
Excellent food, friendly staff, great bathroom facilities.
Poor nights sleep in Room 10, first checked into Room 2 and moved, both rooms very close to kitchen extraction unit and very noisy.
Food good room excellent
Having to wait at the bar to get a drink
