Member of staff was only 16 she was lovely
good location and friendly staff,
Bed uncomfortable - no bedside lockers or bedside lamps, curtains in need of replacement -family room tight for 4.
On the booking form, we had asked for as few stairs as possible and were given a 4th floor room! When we said we could not do it we were offered a third floor one. Were-stated that my friend could not climb that many stairs and were offered the basement room. We were told it was of poorer quantity than the rest, but were not offered any discount although we had no choice but to take it. Why ask people if they have any special requirements and then ignore it?
We liked the location, the English breakfast & the staff was very nice. It was also a trustworthy place which is worth it's weight in gold as a traveller!!
The key issue was that London was having a heat wave and almost no where is prepared. The top floor room was stifling hot. Probably perfect under any other conditions. The carpet is awful but, oh well! Bed was adequate. In room bath was adequate. This is one step up from a hostel sort of accommodations. But we dropped our bags early and picked them up late. They sat in the unguarded hall & office and were safe. So I recommend it if you aren't fussy. The top floor was up very steep! narrow! stairs. I'm in shape and this wasn't trivial with a heavy case!!!
Location. Price for city centre was fine, based on accommodation and facilities. Polite and friendly staff- took care of our bags when we'd checked out and wanted to do more sightseeing.
Climb to the top floor- good job we're fit! Hair in my breakfast!
Excellent location near tube station. Breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable. Hotel would suit young couples or solo travellers looking just for somewhere to sleep and eat breakfast.
Room needed updating - curtains were just sheets, paint was peeling, bathroom tiles were broken etc. Not ideal for a child. Expected a better standard of room for the money.
the breakfast was good
the walls and ceilings were dirty, the curtains were hanging off the tracks. this place hasnt seen a coat of paint in years. outside look shabby too, the photo of the outside must of been from years ago. we spent as little time as possible in the hotel. it did the job but would not recommend to a friend
Were given a room on the top floor when my wife was clearly pregnant. 8 flights of stairs to a dingy room with a tiny bed that could not be described as a double. I complained and was given a room on the ground floor. Which was not much bigger but a vast improvement.
Good location and relatively cheap at £180 for two nights. Breakfast was reasonable and Wi-Fi was very useful.
This is dirty and rather unkempt hotel that needs a lot of money spending on it. It's the kind of place where people on benefits would be accommodated in the DSS days.
The location was ideal for our needs. The staff where lovely. Facilities where as I would have expected for a 2 star hotel.
bed was comfy was quite and had a good rest, which was the ultimate aim for me. few shops and restaurants available within 2 mins walk and close to Euston station. I liked the fact I dont have to stay there again.
First impressions count. They were poor in my experience, Very poorly presented, rubbish externally, took 4 or 5 rings for anyone to open up the door (down to the fact the World Cup was on tv and I was spoiling his viewing!...I had single room on very top floor. The shower and wc was actually in the basement so 4 storeys with no lift for that toilet visit and clean up. Not for the unfit! It had a basin in the room, but no plug. The curtain didnt fit the window towels and linen in bags throughout each floor and landing which must be a fire hazard.... English Breakfast was a bit of a let down and small portion size. You made your own coffee from hot water and sachets. tv was as big as an iPad screen. no wifi and they charge you for using a credit card payment.
Location A single person from the staff
Room closely resembled a prison cell in terms of size, furniture, cleanness, comfort. Negatively distinguished among the many bad hotels in Central London.
The location was excellent
As soon as we arrived the staff said only 2 were in the room so ran and put a put me up single bed in the room . This was all taped up and dangerous i ended up sleeping on the floor very very unhappy with the way we were treated we reported the bed to a member of staff they said it would have to wait for the manager to get in in the morning we shall not be staying a this hotel again
It was clean and comfortable and value for money.
Having to keep asking for items when they had run out at the breakfast table, for example, hot water and milk.
Bloke when we checked in was friendly and helpful. Kitchen staff were a bit like the staff running the coffee shop in Harry Enfield sketch (bit of banter going on between them once you asled for anything) which was great. Getting the VAT receipt took a while but the woman who sorted it for us was a pleasure to be with for the extra 10 minutes it took so I was glad it took longer!
Nothing but then I have never been fussy. This is always work work work and I guess if it was a romantic weekend away as a couple I would probably pay more and go somewhere else but this place represents excellent value for money and is clean and breakfast is really pretty good.
Location, close to Euston, open late for check in
Bed on a slope, toilet and bathroom 2 floors and 72 stairs away from room ! Food smelt good but just wanted to get out in the end....
I arrived at 9pm with a confirmed reservsation but was told there were no rooms available ! I had to look for a room elsewhere and after two hours and a friendly cab driver , luckily found the last room in another hotel. It was a bad experience.
The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for you. The location was good, if you like to walk everywhere, which we do. Breakfast we great.
We stayed at another hotel on night 3 and it was much cheaper and more comfortable. So we then found out that we had been paying way to much for what it was.
Close location to RCP. CHEAP. Bedlinen appeared clean. Booked through last minute.com
Main issue was a single bathroom serving ?9 rooms. Had to go down four flights of stairs to visit toilet. Nasty. Hot, tiny rooms. Can't speak of breakfast as left at 4.30
Nice friendly staff
Just one bathroom for so many people. Too many stairs. No ventilator for hot days
Easy access to underground, this was our 2nd visit to this hotel for that reason.
Needing 3 beds in our room we are put at the top of the hotel and this is hard for my mum as she is in her seventies now.
Don't stay here! The room was very small and dirty. The carpet didn't even cover the floor beneath. There was still soap in the shower from previous guests. They would not refund our 2nd night stay but I was unwilling to stay another night. It was seriously overpriced for the accommodations.
Staff were polite and friendly. The rooms were clean. Good location very close to the tube.
Limited breakfast available. The hotel was in need of refurbishment. Carpets on the stairs were threadbare.
Beds were clean and comfortable.
Shower was clean but in need if attention. Curtains nailed at each end to cover the window and the fire alarm constantly going off whilst breakfast was being cooked!
