Lovely people, very accommodating, good location, great breakfast, nice ambience Lack of parking wouldnt have usually been a problem but for the weather. Also ceilings a bit low (top floor room) so a bit claustrophobic.

We had a warm and friendly welcome from the owner. The room was comfortable and well equiped. The breakfast was of a very high standard with a good buffet selection and an excellent choice of hot breakfast cooked to order.

Location was great and the staff was very friendly. The proiperty was very pleasant. Food was good. Bed was not good, however. The bed in room 1 needs to be replaced; essentially like sleeping on the floor. It was very uncomfortable. I would recommend this b and b to others but only if I knew the bed had been replaced.

I loved the house. 5 Pilmore Place was close to all the facilities of St Andrews and a five minute walk from the Bus Station. The proprietor was very welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts were superb. The room was very comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean. It was the nicest place I have stayed in for a long time. Nothing, everything was above expectations of a Guest House.

Great room size and perfect twin beds. Breakfast was outstanding. Jackie (the 0wner / manager?) was helpful, informative and friendly. Little bit of noise from late night passers by on the street.

Very comfortable, and a lovely staff. The rooms are on the small side, but nicely furnished and the bathrooms are ample in most rooms. The staff do leave at night, so you need to let yourself in with a code - don't lose it!!! It is quiet and I would imagine, wonderful for golfers as it is right up the street from the old course. The breakfast is fine, but I would have preferred more light pastry items available - if you want a big breakfast, they make a nice one! The best thing about the b&b is the location! Close to everything, and lots of places to eat nearby. I would stay there again. Everything was great. I would have liked to have a member of the staff more available at night, but that's typical of B&Bs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pilmour Place, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. We found our accomodation to be very comfortable and in particular we loved the beautiful decor and attention to detail. We loved our free standing bath in our en-suite and all the lovely lotions and potions, which we ladies in particular love. Our breakfast was well presented and very tasty. In all we would say that Pilmour Place was excellant value for money, and can easily put some larger establishments to shame and we certainly hope to return in the near future. Would have liked if car parking had been on site.

Our stay was absolutely awesome. We were welcomed with open arms and treated like family. Jackie made us feel very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. The service in the morning was over the top including the best coffee in St Andrews (French Press). Five Pilmour Place is a great location, close to the Old Course and not too far a walk to the downtown shopping district. The Cathedral and castle are only 5 minutes away. We would definitley stay here again on our next trip to St Andrews. Thank you Jackie for your hospitality and frendliness. Don and Dawn

“Excellent location. Very comfortable accommodation. Walking coastal route is good only if you have appropriate footwear. A good pair of boots are required, and prior knowledge of tidal times would have been helpful, as we had to turn back to hotel.” Ian, Glasgow |
