The staff were very friendly, and the breakfasts were very nice. The room was fine as well with a nice view. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice quiet stay in Bingley and surrounds
I couldn't get the internet in my room and had to come downstairs to get it. My advice is that if it is important to you tell them in advance.
Location in walking distance of station and the house where I was going. Poached eggs. Pictures of Paris in the restaurant. Managers very friendly, breakfast staff not so much.
Breakfast only served 8.30-9.30 (on a Saturday!) and was not piping hot. Toast dry, hard and inedible. Heard the dog barking in the morning which could have been a problem if I had not got up early. Wifi intermittent in bedroom.
Clean and comfortable Very quiet Breakfast very tasty
Could not get internet Food menu was very limited
The room was very nice with good views. The food was great I can thoroughly recommend the fish cake starter the lamb main course and any of the sweets that have custard poured over them mmmmm.
I would have liked the shower to have had a little more water pressure.
Wonderful views and excellent food.
Sadly the wifi was very slow, but apart from that no problems.
The hotel is so close to the magnificent 5 staircase locks, the highest in Britain. Saltaire is so wonderful and so close. So much to do and see and such a welcoming, friendly and comfortable hotel. The owner had time to spend with his guests, making us feel really valued and the food at dinner and breakfast was wonderful. A very memorable stay for all the best of reasons
We had not realised how much there is to see in the area and one night is far to short a stay. We will be back.
The food was outstanding
We were in Room 7 at top of the building...lovely room, big comfy bed, cosy, well furnished and the view was great. Breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Spotlessly clean and lovely little added touches everywhere like binoculars supplied to admire the view. Decoration & room dressing in bedroom and throughout public rooms is tasteful.
Shower was bit slow running but spacious bathroom with bath and separate shower. Bit of a trek from town centre...it's all uphill on the way back to the hotel, however, it is very near the 5 Rise Locks at the canal which is a lovely walk into town & taxi back is only £3.00

food very good evening and breakfast.
Excellent restaurant food
Owners not as welcoming as they could be
The owners were welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We had an amazing dinner beautifully cooked and despite not making it in time for breakfast we were told it didn't matter and we could have what we wanted. You don't get that type of service in many places!
The fact that we only had a brief stay!
Location Staff so friendly and helpful Service excellent Food Wow most amazing meal Breakfast was good too more than we could eat. Views from our room were amazing.
Top Room fantastic views but mind your head if you are tall. Could have benefited from a fan as very hot.
Room was comfortable and spacious. Some nice quirky touches. Everything was ok just nothing special.
Previous reviews are correct. This unassuming hotel location is brought to life by experienced hoteliers who know how to look after the needs and wishes of every guest. The food is amazing and the service is superb.we'll be going again.
Good location, near enough to town to walk. Good walk along the locks and by the canal, nice cafe at the locks. Great food in the hotel, cracking breakfast, well cooked and Yorkshire portions, even asked if we wanted more. Staff and owners friendly Everything clean and functioning. Watch out for the dogs behind reception...they are just so cute
Bathroom was a tad dated and needed updating
A nice family run hotel, nothing at all to complain about. The standard of the food in the restaurant is excellent as is the breakfast, no hesitation in recommending this hotel or visiting again.
Friendly family run hotel. Very good vegetarian menu.
Very good quality of the service - you really receive what was promised in the hotel description. The room was nice, the bathroom clean and comfortable. The area/surrounding is quiet and lovely.
Prices at the restaurant a bit too high for the quality you receive. Still - breakfast (included in the room price) was delicious.
Great little twin bedded room - opened the windows to peace and quiet and lots of countryside! Wonderful freshly cooked breakfast; nothing reheated here. Small bar reasonably priced. Nice grounds. Flat screen TV on wall and tea/coffee. Saw the five rise locks - fantastic. All in all a great short stay.
Nothing to report here. A good family run small hotel.
pretty much everything, the accommodation is comfortable, quiet, clean, the food is very good, the people are welcoming, the WIFI signal is perfect
1. Decor and furnishings in keeping with the traditonally styled detached building. 2. Great location in an elevated position, plus quieter part of the town. 3. Breakfast - cooked to order, well presented and tasted delicious!
