The warm welcome, comfort and good food.
Spacious attractive hotel quiet and peaceful surroundings. Staff helpful and attentive Food excellent Facilities good Location was great after a shopping trip to Ashford
as always hotel, staff and food excellent
Lovely swimming pool and jacuzzi. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great food served in the restaurant. Perfect for a relaxing get away.
There isn't a massive amount of parking available but it's not a big deal.
The location to where we wanted to be for the weekend was perfect. The facilities were as good as we expected, and the gym and swiming pool we fine. All meals and staff service were good, so all in all a pleasant stay, and a place we's stay at again.
Car parking very limited, if you didnt arrive early enough in the evening. However, at the other end of the gravel drive there was an overflow car park, which was adequate, but a little dark and secluded.
Really lovely atmosphere. we got upgraded to a lovely garden room. Fantastic breakfast. and lovely time in the spa.
The spa could do with some updating, especially the ladies changing rooms.
Location and staff friendly
Hotel in very poor condition and desperately needs care and attention. Dining room had large damp patches. All rooms overheated and they had all windows open and heat on twenty four hours
Staff, Great breakfast,Very comfortable and good atmosphere .good beds.
bit tatie in places, our bedroom floor was tiled and cracking up.
In need of some T.L.C. which I know costs money
The staff were so friendlyy helpful and the service was excellent! Couldn't fault anything
Ideal location.Staff very attentive and efficient.Breakfast very good.
Appreciated upgrade quiet location breakfast friendly
No safe in room tired decoration not enough clean outside loungers heat in shower room too hot due to open sauna
Food and service comfortable beds helpful staff cleanliness quietness
Room a little too warm Very ancient TV- had to get help to operate it. Toaster at breakfast needs replacing with a more up to date model which is more user friendly.
Large spring on mattress hanging out on side of bed
Old bathrooms, awlful vinyl flooring and grout around tiles of bath need cleaning. Carpets need to be replaced. Overall it needs some TLC spent on it, carpets replaced, painting done and a really good deep clean throughout.
Lovely garden and restaurant, excellent breakfast and friendly staff.
Paid for a superior twin room so did,nt expect an old style television which you could,nt see while laying on your bed.
Staff friendly & helpful. Food very good.
Restaurant service rather slow. Found room very hot at night even though outside temperature not particularly hot. Sleep disturbed by banging doors past midnight.
room far too hot for comfort and sleep.water too hot and dangerous.

Food and staff
Comfortable hotel that suited our needs, pool is reasonable with jacuzzi and steam room that we enjoyed using. Staff generally pleasant. Cooked breakfast good quality and served quickly (perhaps too quick as it was before we finished cereal). Nice meal in restaurant on first evening however drinks pricey considering pint of Guiness came from a can.
Hotel is somewhat dated and lacking in atmosphere, it also needs some improvement and general mantinence, for example bedroom door hard to open. Shower not hot enough yet the hot tap at sink too hot. Was disappointed to be charged £9.50 to borrow a corkscrew to open a bottle of wine purchased on a visit to local wine estate (Chapel Down - highly recommended), unfortunately wasn't told about this charge before opening the wine, although complaint resolved promptly this sadly put us off using the restaurant on this evening.
The staff and the leisure facilities were great.
Food and drink comparatively overpriced.
- Style of the old part of the building - Reasonable breakfast
- Substantially neglected hotel in serious need of a refurb. - Oblivious staff - Overgrown car park, large potholes, broken lighting - Broken door handles on some room doors - Main entrance signage & lighting - terribly overpriced
I like everything about this hotel. I've stayed several times and would heartily recommend it. I've not used the spa facilities so cannot comment on them.
