Staff, breakfast, grounds
Rooms need updating to reflect price paid for superior room
Apsolutly loved pool and food and staff were very good
Dated and not very clean. No wifi. Food over priced. Breakfast greasy. No spa
Enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna
The staff were considerate and the service excellent
A revamp would make it better
Spa facilities - particularly the pool
Reception desk was unmanned on arrival so left waiting around to check in. The hotel seemed to be very short staffed and we were left waiting again when dining in the restaurant.
The location and the food .Staff very polite and helpful.
The hotel was spoilt by being cold very uncomfortable at times, when questioned ,was told does not come on until 5pm.?.Nice open fire but that was not even lit, shame. Dont have room at front busy road.
Breakfast Comfy bed Jacuzzi Free wifi
Expensive dinner Temperature of pool
Friendliness of the staff particularly towards the children
Restaurant food was amazing. Pool was lovely.
Didn't realise how popular spa was and there was only one slot available during our stay.
Excellent pool and jacuzzi with friendly staff in the gym area. Nice family room.
Walls are pretty thin, service for meals was slow and not excellent value - although still very enjoyable
Breakfasts and friendly staff
Showers need updating as wasn't working properly
A lovely hotel in a beautiful location. All staff very helpful. Spa facilities relaxing.
The staff were very friendly. The pool, sauna and jacuzzi were well kept and relaxing. The rooms had an old-fashioned and quirky charm. The bus stop into Rye is just around the corner and there are lovely walks from there.
It's not very close to Rye town centre and if you don't have a car you will spend a fortune on taxis. The food in the restaurant is very overpriced for the quality, which frankly was poor. The restaurant also completely lacks atmosphere. Compared to other restaurants we ate at in Rye town centre it felt like it was from the seventies.
The hotel had a variety of attractive facilities, including spa, sauna, gym, bar and excellent restaurant. Close to Rye, yet in a semi-rural location. Free hotel parking available. We would stay there again.
The four poster bed could have done with a better mattress. The four poster bed's curtain hangings had seen better days and could have done with a good dust!
The warm welcome, comfort and good food.
Spacious attractive hotel quiet and peaceful surroundings. Staff helpful and attentive Food excellent Facilities good Location was great after a shopping trip to Ashford
as always hotel, staff and food excellent
Lovely swimming pool and jacuzzi. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great food served in the restaurant. Perfect for a relaxing get away.
There isn't a massive amount of parking available but it's not a big deal.
The location to where we wanted to be for the weekend was perfect. The facilities were as good as we expected, and the gym and swiming pool we fine. All meals and staff service were good, so all in all a pleasant stay, and a place we's stay at again.
Car parking very limited, if you didnt arrive early enough in the evening. However, at the other end of the gravel drive there was an overflow car park, which was adequate, but a little dark and secluded.
Really lovely atmosphere. we got upgraded to a lovely garden room. Fantastic breakfast. and lovely time in the spa.
The spa could do with some updating, especially the ladies changing rooms.
Location and staff friendly
Hotel in very poor condition and desperately needs care and attention. Dining room had large damp patches. All rooms overheated and they had all windows open and heat on twenty four hours
Staff, Great breakfast,Very comfortable and good atmosphere .good beds.
bit tatie in places, our bedroom floor was tiled and cracking up.
In need of some T.L.C. which I know costs money
