The location was superb and the room was nice. The inn was just fabulous.
We were there during winter and the room wasn't warm enough. There was no heating in the toilet.
The sheep tea cosy. Nice room with little touches
At breakfast we waited a long time to be served and had to eventually ask to be served. Also had to make our own toast in a toaster that was only half working.
Friendly staff and lovely character building.
Bath was slightly dirty, hairs left in there from previous guests
We were given a horrible pokey room at the very end of a long maze of rooms & corridors. The room also had a nasty smell. I complained & was immediately given a superb room with large bathroom. We were on a very good rate so I expect the room we got was way above the price bracket we should have had. In all other respects our stay was excellent with friendly helpful staff & an exceptionally good dinner & large delicious breakfast included in the overnight rate. Fiona Warrender
Comfortable. Liked that we got a present on Xmas day. Had a great Xmas lunch.
The rooms were very clean. Staff were so so friendly and helpful. Ten out of ten. Will most definitely book again. Stunning location. Dinner and breakfast were both fantastic, kids very happy.
The building is great, the location amazing, the room was clean and comfortable.
The staff, particularly at breakfast all seemed to be not enjoying working in hospitality. Made it a little bit stressful.
Character of the hotel Rooms are comfortable Lovely pub
Service for breakfast was slow and food not great
Location and standard of room . General ambience of the location . Quality of breakfast .
Breakfast quality was good but the staff were not good at knowing who arrived and had been served or not ....seemed a bit hit and miss
Staff were very accommodating for example arranged for dinner when fully booked twice.
I liked my room which was very comfortable and nicely furnished. The hotel has lots of character and the staff I came into contact with were very nice and helpful.
The kitchen staff refused to make a sandwich for room service. I then chose the meat platter which, to the embarrassment of the waiter was also refused. I eventually ended up with cheese and bread. This all happened at 8.50pm I was told the next day by the mgr that room service should be until 9.30pm
Food/dining area excellent. Quiet room. Staff pleasant. Good interior decoration. Very comfortable bed, warm room.
Booking in a hassle due to lots of people at the bar. Booked a twin room, given a double.Constant 'humming noise' in room until midnight, no drinking water. No view of the sky out of the window (just walls). No handle on window, so couldnt be closed. Hall light outside room not working, hard to put key in door in dark.
Nice staff great atmosphere very good location enjoyed my stay.Wouldn,t stay anywhere else in Cirencester.

The menu Choice Food quality
The room was fantastic - very spacious which was handy as we have a baby
The service for breakfast was quite slow on the Saturday morning
position food comfortable bed clean linen friendly service
room 10, very noisy extractor fan from the kitchen and faulty electrics(lighting and I think TV) but not sure on that. booking in waiting food to be ordered but I do not think this was the fault of the staff
no milk left in the room to make a drink, which shouldn't of been a surprise following other reviews. First morning for breakfast, had to ask 3 times for a cup of coffee and some service, second morning was even worse so walked out. Too many staff and no one with set tasks, disorganised was an understatement. Then got to the check out and even got charged for an evening meal we hadn't had.
Good room with great bed. Bustling bar
Chaotic staff with what seemed to be no strong leadership. This led to us eating elsewhere even though the food looked fantastic.
The staff when we checked in were very rude and abrupt. They need to improve their service.
Well placed in centre of town . Bed comfortable and room size reasonable .
Check in not available at 14.00 as advertised. Breakfast a bit basic -particularly the bread . Price rather high and could not understand why the Sunday rate was not available for the first night of a two nights stay . Mingy with the tea/coffee provided in the room and had to ask for milk both days
The friendly ambience on arrival & during our stay. Helpful staff. Good food in the restaurant & good beers. Located in the very centre of Cirencester. Simon, the under-manager, was very helpful when I discussed some room issues with him, explaining Thwaites had only very recently taken over this hotel & renovations were currently being addressed. I also spoke with the manager the following day who further explained the situation.
Very tight car parking area. Room too hot on arrival. Room needs some renovation work & there were a few shortcomings with fixtures & fittings. That said, this property has only recently been taken over by Thwaites & they are aware that renovations are needed & are taking steps to that end.
Room was lovely & spacious. Bar was great & food excellent... Wonderful place to stay .. Will certainly go back
Only downfall was having to ring down for milk to go with the coffee & tea in room every morning
lack of car parking spaces outside hotel
Food was excellent , family room was a good size, amenities in the room were excellent
Were the room was situated, for my wife who has difficulty walking there were many stairs, so this hotel is not for people who have walking difficulty
