The hotel was excellent - beautifully kept and a lovely room the dinner and breakfast were excellent The reception was difficult to find and taggedon to the end of the bar it would have been better away from the public bar Apart from that excellent in every way

Outstanding restaurant for dinner. Great hotel rooms (very recently renovated) in a historic building, very nice amenities. Staff generally friendly and helpful. Parking is extremely cramped and limited. May need to use public lot down the street.

The extremely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent choice of well prepared food. We were there for a family get together and were made extremely welcome. One of the rooms was affected by the renovation works but this was taken into consideration and those concerned compensated for their inconvenience which was much appreciated. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It would have been good if the renovations had been completed but we did know the position. All works carried out to date are very tasteful and I am sure the finished article will be most impressive.

From the very moment that we stepped through the door, we were made to feel very welcome. Our room was immaculately decorated and furnished. the en-suite bathroom fit for a king. The main restaurant was also immaculate and superbly comfortable. As for the menu and quality of the cuisine I would compare them very favourably with some top class dedicated restaurants. The staff were all liveried in black with long white aprons and constantly attending to customers every need. Very impressive. The lounge was comfortably old world with an open fireplace at each end and a beamed ceiling. Refreshments being served all day. At breakfast time the choice of 'Continental' or 'Full English' with choices of cereals or fruit etc. Excellent! I enjoy a drop of Pastis now and then and was surprised and pleased to be served with one of my favourites 'Henri Bardouin', last experienced in France. The wine list is also impressive. Well done to Thwaites Inns of Character, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and shall return! Santé! Considering that the hotel was at the time of our visit having the finishing touches put to an extensive refurbishment, our only difficulty was avoiding builders equipment in the car park. However, future visitors will not encounter those obsticles I'm sure.

I liked the attitude and helpfulness of the staff in particular the manager Rebecca, The Hotel was a pleasure to visit, the room comfortable and clean, the food well prepared and presented Parking !!! a dingy area charged at £3.00 per night which can not be prebooked and reserved!!!. On street parking problematical and you need to be up at 8.00 to put a ticket in the windscreen. This is the one thing that would make me think again about visiting the fleece - get it sorted!!!

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The description of car parking arrangements is disengenuous. The car park (behind the hotel), is at least 200 yards from the hotel. Had I known the poor parking arrangements I would not have booked this hotel. The breakfast and breakfast service was very poor. The ongoing building work made the stay fairly uncomfortable. I would rate a fair price £50-£60 for this hotel

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was excellent with a comfortable sitting area. We ate on our first night there. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. The location, in the centre of Cirencester, was exactly what we wanted. The hotel is undergoing renovation which is due to complete by Easter 2012. As a result the public areas of the hotel were restricted as was car parking. We were aware of the renovation when we booked so we were not surprised. This is an old building with character and charm. As a result he layout is not ideal and the bare wooden floors in the room are quite noisy but these compromises are what one would expect. It is a refreshing change from a modern, soulless hotel

The staff were exceptional. They offered assistance in terms of traveling and sight-seeing, and were very accommodating as to personal preferences at meals. The bed was most comfortable. The smell of smoke in the hallways.

I thought when I realise it was being refurbed that it would spoil our stay. I was pleasantly suprised. The staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome and there was a lovely girl Kate who worked in the restaurant who couldnt have been more pleasant and helpful. The room we were in had been refurbed and was extreemly stylish and very comfortable. The hotel will look even better when the alterations are complete and we would certainly go again as it is so well placed for the town itself. We hae a lovely stay and will go back again. We couldn't manage to open the windwo so our room did get too hot a ttimes and the blinds didnt close properly so my partner who is a light sleeper found it difficult to sleep. The romm needed curtain which pulled right across so that no light could come in from the ;lamposts outside,

The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and went the extra mile to make us feel very at home. The bedroom was very comfortable, especially the bed, and considering it was very cold outside, the room was beautifully warm- even at night.

We enjoyed everything about our stay from the moment we checked in untill checkout time. The staff were both friendly and utterly professional. The atmosphere was relaxed, which we both did.Breakfast was lovely and sooo much choice. The room decor was warm and inviting,we were upgraded on arrival which was wonderful. The Manager,Rachel I think her name was, made us feel like nothing was too much trouble,as was all the staff we came into contact with. Our only regret is that we couldnt stay longer,We will definatly return.

The staff were most helpful and the room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Great situation in the centre of a lovely country town. Because of renovations we had to go outside to get to our room from the reception/bar/restaurant area. This is only temporary and was not actually a problem as it wasn't raining!
