Lighting in room not very good.
Lovely quiet room with good facilities Excellent breakfast
Unfortunately the Restaurant was not open at the time we stayed - we would have liked to try it.
1. Friendliness and professionalism of the staff 2. Cleanliness of room 3. Quality of restaurant
1. Cramped nature of room - probably only designed for an overnight stay. However, if you directly contact hotel before your stay, they will book you into a later room.
Staff were great at accommodating us, including letting us sleep in for one more hour, and bringing us breakfast in bed.
We had hoped to sleep in as we'd attended an event that finished at 4am, but our room was above the dining room and meant we were awoken at 8/9am by noisy chairs on hardwood floors!
Hotel was stylish clean and comfortable.
Parking facilities only thingot to let it down we had to park 5 minutes away.
Food excellent Friendly service
No heating in the bathroom in January. Request to re-use towels if possible ,but nowhere to dry them as towel rail did no work.
parking permit for the duration of our stay. very helpful staff. location was within walking distance of a very good bus service into Portsmouth. breakfast served in the restaurant with excellent choice
The room was beautiful, cozy and in excellent condition. Nice touch to have a great restaurant in house, plus a bistro that would stay open quite late. The place was amazingly quite too.
I can't think of something that I didn't like.
spacious, clean room. Excellent breakfast.
We booked a small double for two nights. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was so soft you were just swallowed up by it! The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the staff were friendly and very good too!
The rain shower head was too close to the cubical door to deliver a good shower due to the size & space it occupied. As we were the first bedroom (No1) up the stairs from the restaurant, we were awoken quite early by the noise of the staff setting up the breakfast area. My husband wasn't able to connect to the free WiFi with the code given in the hotel information book but we were not too bothered as we were on our way out!
The room was lovely, spacious and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. We really enjoyed our stay.
An excellent hotel, room spacious and very comfortable and gorgeous decor. Staff were exceptional and could not be faulted. Very attentive. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!
Staff very helpfull and friendly. Decor bright and inviting. Food covered all tastes, well presented and delicious.
I have no complaints.
Excellent hotel, very good and helpful staff, great location
It was cold in the restaurant between 6 and 7 Friday evening and the room was cold late afternoon, the heating should remain on all day on cold winter days.
Breakfast was bang tidy
Damp on the wall, Wardrobe not suitable for hanging any clothes as it was not deep enough and the door would not shut, Tiny bathroom with no blinds (clear glass in the windows), Freezing cold
I found the room, staff and food to be really good. My partner wasnt very well during our stay and all the staff were very understanding and couldnt help enough.
Couldn't fault anything with the hotel and staff.
Our second stay And as good as the first
All good. Breakfast on second morning soooooo much better, as we had expected.
Breakfast on first morning didn't run smoothly, coffee had bits in it, orange was squash and not juice, toast not toasted and had to wait for buffet breakfast to be topped up and when it did there were 4 of us waiting that none of us could take much. Saying all that this is our only issue.
Staff at this hotel.are fabulous. Room very comfortable. Restaurant food pricey but excellent.
Excellent hotel very clean good service very good food would recommend
Parking a bit of a pain no wi-fi
Loved the atmosphere and the bedroom, excellent bath and comfy bed would definatly stay again!
Parking was a bit of a pain and small streets to get there were difficult to navigate in a later vehicle
The welcome I received upon arriving at the Florence Gardens was very warm and welcoming. It was quite late and had been a long day travelling down so this was a lovely start and first impression. I was personally shown to my room and as we passed the restaurant it had a good atmosphere and smelt good. The room was compact but comfortable and had all the basic amenities you could want with good free Wi-Fi connection. I ordered room service on this occasion and it arrived within a timely manner. Had a good nights sleep. Breakfast had a nice choice. Helpful staff in the morning when I needed a taxi ordering too. It appeared to be fairly close to the main restaurant and shops.
As my room was quite close to the restaurant there was quite a lot of noise from there and as people passed my door to their rooms. This did calm down at about 11-11.30pm and was then peaceful for the night. Unfortunately the bathroom smelt damp which wasn't pleasant.
Close proximity to centre, lovely fresh bright and airy bedrooms, good evening meal,
Pre cooked buffet breakfast was looking a bit tired by 9.0 am
