Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean and have a nice decor.
Apart from the gap under the door which let in light everything else was great
The staff were professional but also friendly and attentive. The room was a small double but absolutely fine for us. I love the way they had decorated this hotel with modern facilities but also Victorian type tiles. The chandelier in the bistro was constructed from empty wine glasses. The food was very good and beautifully presented with excellent wine served in big glasses.
There isn't anything I didn't like about this hotel
Bedding comfort Shower Toiletries Helpful staff Great value for money
- Being on the top floor, the room was VERY hot and a fan would have been very useful. - No designated disabled parking for my elderly parents - Coffee was dried up and not enough milk sachets in room
We stayed on two different nights (either side of a trip to France) and in two different rooms. Both were well equipped and, although small, made good use of the space. Breakfast was very good and we were fed in the Bistro on arriving late, which was very useful.
The slats on the bed had broken making a very uncomfortable night's sleep (we didn't discover this until the morning.) The pillows and duvet weren't of great quality.
The staff were very friendly and the hotel was ideally located. We enjoyed our breakfast in the mornings.
Our floor in our bathroom appeared to be in a poor state.
We loved the personal enthusiastic service and the late night food. The arrangement in a number of houses is unusual but works well. Our shower room was excellent.
The broken bed left us with a poor night's sleep. The mattress and pillows were not of great quality.
Arrived late because of ferry. Very welcoming. Offered us drinks . breakfast very good.
quiet street, tastefully decorated, excellent service, good food
bit of a smell of drains in the morning - not too pleasant
Good hotel, value for money. We stayed in room 1, which was a small double. The only negatice thng about it was the room was above the restaurant so you could hear staff getting ready for breakfast and clearing up after the restaurant closed inthe evening,
Comfortable, stylish surroundings
It was noisy as I was in a room over the bar/garden and staff were moving furniture around underneath my room at 12:30 in the morning which woke me up
Very nice, pleasant and helpful staff. Very nice room with comfortable bed. Free wi-fi is very welcome.
Our room overlooked the patio at the back so we had to keep the blind pulled down
Friendly staff, decor.
Noisy until very late due to restaurant downstairs and guests on patio. No air conditioning.
The room was very comfortable and the hotel décor was tasteful. All staff were friendly and helpful, with excellent service. The gourmet breakfast was included, and we enjoyed a meal at the Kitchen restaurant.
Great staff - very helpful and pleasant. Great decor - obviously a lot of trouble taken to present the hotel. Didn't eat dinner in the restaurant but breakfast was more than adequate. Limited on-site parking but parking permits for on-street parking were provided.
Room was a bit small so if that bothers you don't book a small double as I did.
Good nights sleep.
Parking a major issue.
Room was small but comfortable. Bathroom was very small but functional
Room was just up a dew stairs from restaurant and was very noisy. Rooms are not soundproofed so heard everything from room above including snoring. When they showered it sounded like we were in the room with them. Food at restaurant was just ok.
Friendliness and helpfulness
Tho' we admittedly arrived late having been told we could dine the service was very slow and tho' we had ordered a starter for me and mains for both of us it became clear all three were to be brought at once --- all food is freshly cooked does not hack it a reason for the failure to explain the delay. The food was excellent when it did arrive-- especially the walnut and celeb salad.
The staff were so helpful and friendly. Room was excellent very clean. Food was out of this world couldn't recommend it more.
Everything and the food was excellent. Also a nice little Pub across the road too.
Location is convenient and restaurant is OK
Parking can be a problem. As hotel is in several old buildings its hard shifting large suitcases up and down stairs.
Up to date furnishings & decoration, very helpful staff, excellent food (breakfast & evening restaurant meal). Good supply of soaps, shampoo, etc. Good Wi-fi.
We were in room 1 (first half-landing), overlooking the garden restaurant. The room was very noisy until late on one of two nights from late eating diners. Also sound insulation from room above and to the side was very poor, also from the restaurant below. Not a problem if you go to bed late or get up very early. Bed a bit on the soft side for us. Room very small.
The staff were particularly friendly and helpful.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Very clean, very helpful staff, good location
Yardis bathroom and a very small handbasin in the corner of the tardis shower room. BUT perhaps this was because of the size of the bedroom,
The hotel is very clean, with exceptional food very helpful and polite staff, we would defiantly stay again
