The location was amazing with stunning views of the river Wye. Lovely walks! Staff are so lovely, friendly and approachable. Food is lush. We'll definitely return in the summer.
Bathroom could do with a better shower, apart from that it was amazing!!
Very friendly owners/staff. Nice and clean and comfortable
Difficult to find. Symonds Yat East is not on sat.nav. Had to phone to be directed in which was difficult in the dark.
Friendly hosts and laid back atmosphere
Warm and cozy, great views and nice and clean. Food very good also.
views and location to river
lack of fish
Great location.....good breakfast.....friendly hosts
hotel was beautiful, very well cared for ,room was beautiful with a lovely view and a comfortable and luxury bathroom.ideal position.
Owners could not have been any more helpful. Friendly and welcoming. Fantastic views from room.
good clean hotel with attentive staff, great views from room, excellent breakfast, great place for solitude & walking, super pub food and ale just 4 mins walk away.
instant coffee for breakfast, no wifi coverage in bedroom, noisy fire doors in corridor (only a problem because of inconsiderate guests getting up at 5.30 to go out fishing!)
Great location with fab view from the bedroom window. We were in a deluxe type room which was worth the extra £10 for the night
A torch would be useful for walking back in the dark if eating out at one of the neighbouring establishments
Location was excellent , and very hospitable during our stay a good breakfast ....
Bed was uncomfortable , and being approached to pay for our evening meal , straight after , would have been better to pay at the checkout time ....
you was made very welcome my wife went to pay the bill about 13 00 hrs on monday and was given keys as the room were ready very good service made very wecome
The room had beautiful views, the bed was comfortable and the temperature was nice. Breakfast was cooked well and of a good size
Hand held shower was difficult to use and the water pressure was very poor so mixing the hot and cold was almost impossible.
Lovely friendly staff, and excellent breakfast and evening meal. HOT food, lovingly cooked by Stefan, in a beautiful location.
Bed was a bit soft, but thats personal preference
Had a most enjoyable couple of nights at the forest view B and B ! Location and accommodation superb ! Would recommend it to anyone !
Location fantastic Bedrooms clean and modern Breakfasts very good and waiting staff good. Evening meal excellent. Staff
No dedicated residents lounge. Landlord, uses it as his personal lounge and asked us all one night to go to bed at 9.30pm as he had 24 breakfasts to do in the morning. Also said he couldn't turn thermostat up in a bedroom that was very cold as it was his heating oil.
Being able to leave the car there after checking out - was able to do a good walk around the Wye valley meanders. Liked the chef (Steffan) coming round to see that everyone had enjoyed their breakfast
Location by the river!
Price of food was extortionate in the guest house and in neighbouring hotels.
close to couple of pubs beautiful location and views from room. lovely and clean. need to book table for food in other pubs as very busy and none available
not full selection at bar ok if you liked spirits or wine. bit too regimented for breakfast and having to order it the night before, so if you changed your mind you had to have what you ordered previous night .wanted to chill a bit felt like you had to do as you were told wold like to have relaxed a little bit more
Josie, Stefan and staff are very welcoming and enthusiastic. Hotel room location outstanding, beautiful views down the River Wye. Very clean and 3 great nights sleep .A good, clean presented tasty, although sparse cooked breakfast, but other options like cereals, fruit salad haddock and eggs were available.
Poor mobile phone and Wifi signal, not a major issue if your not wanting to communicate but sometimes needed. Having to pre order breakfast the night before and hope you got the time slot you wanted which in our case, as we were there purely for leisure, as late as possible, having to set the alarm (07.30) so we were up in time for breakfast slots between 0815 and 08.45 was not very relaxing.
Not being told we could not order food after 6.00pm following a two hour journey and arriving at 6.15pm. This should be made clear when booking. Also there is a £20 fine if you purchase a takeaway and bring it back to your room.
Location, easy access to activities
The food was exceptional. Homemade to perfection, will travel back just for the bread and butter pudding.
We were lucky and had a room with a fantastic view over the Wye in a place that is just beautiful. The room was comfortable and breakfast adequate. The proprietor was most friendly.
It was a cold night but there was no heating on. The panoramic double-glazed windows were dripping wet with condensation which made the room damp. The bathroom was a little cramped. The main door was fitted with a French window that had a tripping hazard.
Gorgeous location, very helpful staff
