Free and fairly fast wi fi. Bed was very comfy. Breakfast was fine. Very quiet location.
Room was grotty- curtains were hanging off the rail by one ring. Hole in ceiling. No mirror, but there was a picture with glass smashed stuck behind the fridge! A major cosmetic overhaul needed.
I liked the weekend staff, the wifi was working perfectly and it's in a peaceful and quiet environment.
It's a little expensive and discount should be considered for guests staying for more than two nights.
Memory foam matress Hot shower
Rooms are always hot. Tv too small, beds too far away. Pub dont do food. Tea and coffee but no kettle?? Towels smell (take your own). Needed more pillows one small one dont cut it.
Everything give this dump a wide birth if you have any sense sleep in your car it would be 100 times better The only thing the staff was interested in was getting paid before we saw the rooms because I would have walked away if I saw the kip first I slept with my clothes on as the bed was filthy and as for the shower I declined as I would have got out of it dirtier than I went in so I couldn't wait to get home and dump the clothes I slept in and have a decent shower My hat goes off to the guy who did the website he is an absolute genius to make that dump look decent in the pictures
Good value for money
I liked the breakfast in the morning and finally leaving that dirty place.
The last time I stayed there gave me a good experience however this time was not a good at all for the bottom reasons: 1) The bedding had disgusting red stains all over it. This didn't allow my partner and I to sleep comfortably at all. 2) Due to the above reason we wanted to contact someone to change our bedding but no one was downstairs to aid us, which further upset us. 3) The male chef who looks Spanish was not pleasant at all. He refused to store our ice creams in the fridge for us stating we had one already in our room. We were in our usual room 10 and we did not have a fridge in there. Furthermore we asked the bar lady and she said yes, so please have consistency within your staff. 4) The room, number 10 itself was dirty with blonde hairs all over it. Please ensure the rooms are cleaned thoroughly. 5) The wifi was extremely poor and was just as good as not having wifi. It rarely worked and when it did it was beyond the word slow. My first stay there made me think that this was a great value for money budget hotel but with my horrible second stay I don't think I will ever stay there again.
ROOM POKEY CURTAINS NEED REPLACING SHOWERS FILTHY
Leaving on the Friday morning. The pub itself wasn't bad, just the accommodation. Walk to the station wasn't bad either as we were walking to the station (10 mins) then direct to Liverpool St Station (where we were working).
Everything. There is obviously a reason why these rates are non-refundable. Would never have stayed for the full 4 nights if we could have had a refund and gone elsewhere. We knew the bathroom was shared but didn't realise that it was only one bathroom for the whole floor which was 8 rooms. Therefore be prepared to queue up for your shower.
There was a small fridge and microwave in my room along with several pieces of furniture, and plenty of space.
There was lots of evidence of poor maintenance both in the room itself and in the bathroom. The shower on our floor was out of order.
Long way from downtown Poor quality of facilities
decent budget accommodation, friendly pub.
staff not very helpful. door to breakfast room was closed on my first morning so I couldn't have breakfast - no effort from staff to find anything out when I queried it that evening..
the warm reception and friendliness of the manager.mike
Ants coming out of the sink Staff The kitchen should be closed down
The whole experience was awful would never stay again absolutely terrible
Location, guest service was colourless. No formal checkout, just find your way out through back door.
Good clean place to stay.
Breakfast didn't start on time so had to miss it a few days because of needing to catch an early train. Window blinds didn't cover all the way down. A bit of gap. At night, with lights on, someone on the street can look in easily.
Location was good and staff were very helpful and friendly. Cheap accommodation, food and beer.
Room was horrendous. Plug-socket hanging off the wall; 'curtain' was a dirty sheet, pinned up; window was broken and rattled all night; wall-paper was stained and peeling.
Good value for money
hot shower. fridge, microwave and tv in room.
WORST!!! Very dirty, I found something like booger stuck to the towels!!! very noisy, because it is a bar, you can't sleep before 12pm and the manager don't care anything!!! Very far from Londons, and you need to walk for 10min from the rail station!!! Please don't book this hotel. I regret to book it for a cheap price, very very regretable!!!
Showers, location, friendly chef
Blinds, could possibly see into room from outside
no toilet and shower in the room
Was a relaxing night for me and amazing offer price.I will stay again in this hotel.I felt like going back in the history how is the building and bar .
It's above a very nice bar so you can have a pint, hang out with people and attend pub quiz. 15 mins walk to the train station. Only 2 stations away from the heart of the London. It's fair for the money you pay.
Towel was not really clean although I'm sure it was washed. I'll suggest to get its location on the map printed or take a gps with yourself for the very first time you want to get there since locals cannot help you!
