Relatively easy to get in London if you didn't find catching two trains and walking 15mins Unclean small room, bathrooms and showers were kept in a poor state. No sink in mens bathroom. Rooms kept too hot, heating left on when days were above 25'C. Noise from pub below in early hours of the morning made sleeping difficult.Breakfast was sloppy, and unhealthly. No choice of cereal, fruit or non greasy food. Breakfast too short, from 7.30 til 8.30.

Rooms were very poorly decorated with mish mash of furniture, luckily sheets were clean otherwise would have found another place to stay. Was a stain on wall which im sure was dry blood!! Strange odour/smell in the room and curtains barely closed so let the light in when the sun rose in the morning.Hotel was ten to fifthteen mins walk to train staion which was a mainline not an underground so location not great either especially with the olympics close by.I Would not use or recommend this place to stay!

We arrived on Saturday night so it was quiet busy girl was friendly and explained there was a wedding to give her a minute which was fine. The room itself was good nice comfortable bed and clean. Good location. The breakfast was way too early. The fidge in room 24 didn't work. The shower was the top floor was terrible either too hot or too cold and it was changing itself.

They didn't even provide the room with towels!! The smell was too bad and they had a party in their bar til midnight with very poor singers performance. Also dozens of people remained til 4:00 am barking under my window so I couldn't sleep at all!!! I didn't wait one second and I got the first train out of hell.

The bed was comfortable, also the train station was near by. This hostel is also a restaurant/ bar which wasn't mentioned in the description. The staff was not around. One morning they didn't serve us breakfast because they forgot. Also it seemed that we were located in the ugliest part of London! :(

The staff was friendly. The room 21 I have stayed in was in a bad condition. For the price I have expected simple, basic comfort, but clean and decent. The latter was not the case. The bedsheets were smely (not enough washing powder when washing), the bed itself was breaking when siting on, the general hygiene of the place was terrible (there were stains everywhere) and at night you could heare a rat or a mouse. And the last and the most disturbing; the window was not opening so I was litteraly safocating at night. As I said even though the price was reasonable it should be simple and clean place with all the basic facitilies actualy working. You should compare what kind of image of the hotel-room you advertise on internet and the actual room. There is always to expect a little difference, but not that kind. Nada Turnšek

Basic room . In my opinion was clearly originally a larger room cut into two as could see half of ceiling rose. No room for bed as end leg encroached over fireplace. Other leg at end of bed perched on wood, which collapsed Dirty, daughter in law brought clean sheets for us to sleep on and extra pillows. Family saw room and happy to confirm this. Had to buy own milk for tea in room . Had to use water from bathroom. Hardly any staff.. Breakfast bad for full English. One bacon, hard egg and few beans. 2 toast.. Gave us tea with sugar without asking if we take sugar. Server was also cleaning toilet? . Tap running all night in shared bathroom. We would not recommend if free. Was cheap at 60£, but not even worth that, Awful place. Nothing apart from close to family party.

Straightforward cheap accommodation. A quiet area and genuine "local" pub with sensible clientele. Only ten minutes from Forest Gate station if you walk quickly - this is a more convenient station for the city than Wanstead Park which is only 150 metres or so closer.

Well... The fact that it is also a bar location... This hotel gave me the opportunity to me very interesting people I have made a friend at this hotel..... I would like to thank you for this.... Ar first it was the fact that I had a hard time finiding it.... Since I did not drive there I had to use underground and buses or train facility.... But when I understood how the network worked.... I would definitely go back there.... Because of the friendly staff and where it is situated.... To have a relaxing place to stay... Thank you again. My name is Cecile Beland and I am from Canada the province of Quebec

Comfy beds, friendly/helpful staff and decent downstairs pub. Room was clean, had fridge, microwave and (very primative) tv. Price was good, and was located very nearby to the tube stations. Toilets/showers were shared but were clean and I think located on every floor. Breakfast could have been a lot nicer - fried egg was overcooked, the organge juice was literally warmer than the baked beans, bacon was half cooked, no toast/bread. Area seemed fairly dodgy, wouldn't advise roaming around at night. Noise - the plumbing was lound and there was a large/loud congregation outside the pub at about 2 a.m.

I asked for a double room with ensuite and was told that it was confirmed. When I checked in, I found to my surprise that it wasn't an ensuite and wasn't a double room. That was extremely disappointing.

The pub downstairs was OK Heating in the bathrooms and halls despite the good weather. probably to avoid spreading mold. Mold on the toilet paper and on the bedclothes. Smelly fridge, leaking tap for 5 days - nobody cares. When there was a lady serving breakfast food was Ok, but during the weekend ther was a guy who was serving outdated butter and milk.

The reception lady was friendly and helpful. Although the bedroom quality leaves much to be desired, I could sleep well. There was silence almost all night, even though the hotel reception is really a bar. Sometimes I could hear people going to the shared bathroom in the night, but that was it. I had a good night sleep. And the neighbourhood is very peaceful too. It's a residential area, with very few traffic. It's really a good hotel for backpackers and people looking for a cheap place to stay, like I was. Just a quiet bed for sleeping and a shower in the morning. The tv had no cable to connect it to the antenna, there was a broken table lamp, inside a drawer, which wasn't removed after someone before broke it and hide it. There were some mugs over the refrigerator in the room, with some spoons, to make coffee, but they had stains on them. I had to wash them and boil them, before I could use them... The shared bathroom shower really could use a lot of bleach to remove the fungi at the bottom. Take waterproof slippers with you!
