Friendly staff Good food Comfortable clean room
All was good
Booked a 2 night package with breakfast which was excellent value for money. Staff were truly outstanding - friendly and efficient. Food in the Restaurant was superb. Breakfast was available from 0600 and being a hot buffet was very good for an early start.
Menu in the Grill bar a little limited.
Immaculately clean, great staff, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast, everyone at the wedding I attended gave it high praise.
Minor points to consider; there seemed to be no area set aside outside for wedding photos, so we had to scramble up a bank and use the putting green area! Not quite ideal. The place is huge with lots of areas to park so it would help if the parking areas were numbered with appropriate signage to them. Finally, any chance of black pudding at breakfast?
The staff were really friendly and seemed very happy in their job. We were made to feel extremely welcome by everyone we met.
Excellent location friendly and efficient staff.
Good food, comfy bed, pleasant grounds. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite which was lovely as a female solo traveller who had recently suffered a bereavement.
Overall a very comfortable stay thank you, I only wish the service had been quicker in the restaurant.
Me and a colleague ordered food one of the evenings that we stayed, we were both very tired and hungry and only ordered a main and ordered some bread to start. We waited at least an hour for our main course to arrive, all other diners (who had arrived after us) had had their starters and finished their mains and our food still had not arrived, we enquired into what was taking so long and we were told it was going to be another 10 minutes before our food was ready!
ease of parking;bedroom comfortable; and food good;fine location
Lack of wifi signal in room
golf tremendous, staff great, food very nice
Staff are lovely and very accommodating
Everywhere smells very strongly of 'men'. Bedrooms, halls, bar. Musky but not in a good way
the room view was only the gable end of another building with extractors i could smell cooking and when i turn off the heating/a/c i could smell smoking
Beautiful golf course
Limited menu choice
I was delighted as upgraded to a suite, lovely and spacious and the extra touches such as bottle of wine, bathrobes made it a wonderful nights stay. Would definitely stay again and would visit for leisure or special occasion.
For a business overnight stay for a normal room at the original price I would say is too pricey...if there had been a cheaper chain hotel nearby they would have been 1st choice (however nice this hotel was)
The leisure facilities and Golf courses , the accommodation and the food
There wasn't anything that we didn't like .
Room was not very clean
Not a lot
The cheek of a member of staff and her attitude was completely an acceptable the food is pretty good and the room was okay nothing special
The disabled access room I was given - "the hotel is busy"! Noise from boiler room next door. Noise from other residents passing by in the corridor not caring about others. Breakfast was over-cooked and not very appetising.
friendliness of staff
When booking I asked for a room close to a lift due to my walking difficulties. My room was on ground floor with a VERY LONG walk from reception.
Some of the worst food I have ever eaten.
Good range of facilities which compensated for isolated location. Travelled as couple but would have also been ok as a place for my young child. Staff were nice and food not too overpriced by hotel standards . Nice big room and nice bathroom all. Room spotless apart from some black scuff marks on sheets as if they had been dropped. Great breakfast.
Difficult to control temperature in room - too hot but there was a generator outside our bedroom so too noisy with window open. Quite expensive but this probably covers spa/ access to golf facilities
Location Staff Breakfast
Evening late meal options
Loved every thing they could do all in packages half board would be nice
