Fort D'auvergne Hotel  

The resturant has good sea views. The breakfast was a hot and cold buffet type and was excellent. In general the hotel was clean and tidy. Jersey accomodation is generally expensive so whilst I have said value was fair it is about the general market price for this type of accomodation. The hotel staff were excellent

The Hotel is rather dated and appears to still be in the 1970s. However this is typical of other Jersey hotels we have stayed in and is not necessarily a bad thing. The beds are soft and in general below the standard expected for the price. Again for the price paid it was disappointing to only have a shower and no bath. TV in the room was an old small CRT type and only had five channels. Very little sound proofing to the rooms and you could hear adjacent occupants clearly

I have stayed several times at the Fort when visiting my son and grandchildren who live in St Helier. It is easy to walk to their house and the kids love to come to the hotel for a swim in the pool. The staff are good the breakfast is goodand the rooms clean, if a little small.

We enjoyed having the use of a very good size swimming pool which was never busy, in fact we used it every day of our stay. The staff were all very pleasant and on hand. The General Manager Philip was there every day even popping in on his day off. The room was a good size and clean, and every day it was cleaned and freshened up.

Only complaint would be that there is only one shower in both Ladies and Gents changing rooms when using the pool, so if more than one person left the pool someone or maybe more would have to wait to shower. As it was we never encountered that problem but it could happen.

Friendly staff and the location.

The rooms and decor in general need a serious update. Squeeky floor boards!

The location was good, not so far from the city centre and the harbour. Secondly, the view of the sea was nice (we only enjoyed it while having a breakfast at the restaurant, for room with sea view you would have to pay extra).

It was really too old and the smell in our room was as in hospital. We booked a double room for two adults and we found a double bed in the room, which was ok, however there also was a double-deck bed, really old and it felt like we were sleeping in a loft with unwanted furniture.

The Staff, without exception, were superb.. polite, helpful.. nothing was too much trouble. Super breakfast and I loved the pool (nice relaxing swim)

Absolutely no complaints, you deserve a much hugher rating than 2 star! Wife would have preferred a hair drier in the room... (women!!!!), although they were readily available at Reception

A nice location, easy accessability to local bus service. Meals good, breakfast selection superb. Friendly staff.

Ein charmantes Hotel, dass etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Die Zimmer müssten renoviert werden(auch Fenster)dafür war der Service hervorragend,insbesondere die Rezeption erfüllte alle Wünsche zu unserer Zufriedenheit, machte Unmögliches möglich.Auch die Restaurantmitarbeiter, waren sehr freundlich und immer zuvorkommend,sie zeigten einen sehr guten Service.

Der Restaurantleiter führte sein Personal sehr streng, was wir nicht immer gut fanden,teils wurden diese vor den Gästen gerügt.

L'hotel é veramente 'old style'. I bagni credo siano originari anni '60 (e non vintage!), il mobilio é spartano... E' un peccato perché il personale é gentile e la colazione ottima. Ma nel complesso l'hotel avrebbo proprio bisogno di un bel rinnovamento. Non lo consiglierei.
