View overlooking the sea
No car parking facilities
An older property but in really good condition but for some people maybe a little bit dated with the colour of the carpet and decor. Was interesting that it seemed to be a big competition at breakfast by follow diners that they must ensure a window seat !!! could not understand why it was such a big deal.
Would have liked a small bar fridge
Staff and food
Even with an above average mature and responsible occupancy sound insulation between rooms and floors was very, very poor
Location excellent with nice restaurants nearby. Staff were very helpful and efficient. Very good swimming pool. Sovereign car hire offered 5pm to 10am parking across the road which was a great help.
Room very hot on arrival and no air conditioning though staff provided a fan when asked. Shower very small and shower curtain billowed in onto body.
MANAGER WAS FRIENDLY, BUT THAT DIDN`T HELP...
LOCATION, VERY CLOSE TO POWER STATION, VERY CLEVER PICTURE OF HOTEL NOT SHOWING IT. THE DECOR WAS A CROSS BETWEEN BAD 80`S & 90`S, DARK AND DINGY,VERY LITTLE SLEEP, YOU COULD HEAR EVERY WORD SPOKEN NEXT DOOR, INC SNORING, WHOLE WALL WOULD MOVE WHEN LENT ON. HOTEL NEW OF THIS PROBLEM??? SO VERY POOR VALUE FOR MONEY, PAYED FOR 2 NIGHTS, AND JUST MANAGED 1.. IT WAS THAT BAD. NOT STAYED IN PLACE LIKE THIS SINCE MY STUDENT YEARS...
Excellent service and staff. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed and size of room. Lounge facilities and bar good.
Lack of parking is not helpful, but not insurmountable there is a car park two streets away with free parking overnight. Dated dinner menus, unadventurous choice available.
Staff very helpful
Lack of choice in resterant in the evening
good staff. excellent breakfast. bus stop directly outside the hotel(5 mins to St. Helier) sheltered outside area. fronting the esplenade and sea. Lido next door.wonderful beaches on the doorstep
no fridge in the bedroom. Could have done with a fan at night, the room was stifling despite windows being wide open.
Great location, sea views, restaurants nearby within easy walking distance. Easy bus service to St Helier and around the island. Wonderful English breakfast, lots of choice and well presented/served. Swimming pool, small but enjoyable. Live music guitar/piano Friday night very nice.
The decor needs updating.
quiet location and the pool very nice.
rooms are clean and bed was comfortable but the decor is very dated and the stair carpet could do with being replaced.
So helpful staff. Best experience.
The bed was a bit like a bowl. Not comfortable. Needs a replacement. No internet in rooms.
Staff excellent, nice to have sun beds outside the room, lovely views.
No bath, old fashioned bedding,it's duvet's one like now.
Great location, breakfast very good, restaurant staff very polite and helpful. Good entertainment in the evenings if you wanted it.
Although I booked this room eight months in advance and particularly requested a twin room, on arrival we were given a double room. When I questioned this I was told particular rooms are not guaranteed, so why are we given this option on the booking site.
excellent staff attend to your every need rooms dated but clean and tidy tea/coffee making facilites The view
The only thing I didn't like really was one of the waitresses, she was quite rude about us sitting on a four table when there was only two of us as we were told to sit anywhere and the table was near the window, most of the two tables were away from the window.
very clean and presentable hotel , staff really helpful and polite , food was nice and well presented and food and drink prices were reasonable , views from sea rooms were relaxing . they do sell the parking scratch cards which saves u having to go to hunt for shops to buy them.
no wifi in rooms big let down, we all had to use room next to reception, they need to sort this one out . parking is a bit of a pain as had to park in public car parks about ten minutes away. they have a lift but you still need to use stairs from lift to rooms not ideal with heavy cases or disabled
THE POSITION THE VIEW FROM OUR BEDROOM BREAKFAST STAFF SWIMMING POOL
HAD T O ASK FOR SHEET CHANGE AFTER 10 DAYS! HOTEL KNEW IT WAS OUR GOLDEN WEDDING BUT ALL WE GOT WAS A COMPLIMENTS SLIP FROM MANAGEMENT. WE DINED THAT NIGHT IN ROYAL YAGHT HOTEL AND THEY GAVE US FREE CHAMPAYNE!
Lovely location, staff very helpful, great breakfast. Enjoyable stay.
Rooms very clean, but a little outdated. Bathroom clean but shower could have been better
The bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent.
The decor was very tired, in need of updating.
Friendly staff, Great buffet breakfast, Clean & comfortable room, Good entertainment in Bar
Wish there was Air-con in room, but that`s the weather, not the hotels fault
- Location, location, location. - Indoor pool, although small, perfect for finishing off the day. - Breakfast felt relaxed - not busy. - Helpful staff when it came to the storage of hired bikes. Useful court-yard within the confines of the hotel.
- Having wifi in only one reception room (which the advert omits) is well behind the times. This room was busy everyday with all age groups trying to conduct everyday business on tablets, phones, laptops etc. - Hotel's presentation is tired in terms of style and approach. Hotel is clean and tidy but very old fashioned; dated carpets throughout, sheets and blankets instead of duvets on beds, dated sitting chairs in public rooms, no aircon in rooms - rooms uncomfortably warm at night. - The majority of the other guests during our stay seemed to be retired. No problem with this at all but gives a flavour for the hotel's customer base. - I get the sense the staff paid no attention to my request to have our childrens' room next to ours despite early booking. Reception staff did not have our booking to hand on arrival. Same floor but three corridors away was far from ideal.
Lovely Helpful Staff
no internet in room
the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bus route was ideal and bus stop right outside the hotel. sun terrace was fab too, once we found it, thank you. Room was very spacious.
Would have preferred a better wi fi connection, very very limited but appreciated what we had but only in one lounge room.
All the staff were excellent, we only had breakfast meals and they were very good with a good all round choice of food. Over all we had a very good 5 days there and would definitely stay there again.
Although acceptable, the room was very tired, particularly the shower/toilet. The shower was very poor and definitely needs upgrading. Air-con would be a good addition in such hot conditions and the addition of a safety box might be a thought?
Swimming Pool Bar area Location
Central heating on in room during hot spell in July - took over two days for staff to resolve Staff did not appear to know location of our room on check-in Room including bathroom - décor needs modernising Shower pressure poor
Reasonable views of the beech
Shabby 70s decor, no air conditioning, no wifi, tiny towels, horrid bathroom, poor staff, tasteless breakfast. Just an awful experience
