The location was brilliant, and the Landlords were very friendly, breakfast was good.

We had a family room which was very clean but my one complaint is that the bathroom was way too small and the plumbing left a lot to be desired.

The hosts were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in room9 which although was a small room it was adequate. The matress was the comfiest I have slept on in a very long time! The hosts allowed us to check in early and check out late (quote - any time youre ready to get out of bed) due to new years day hangover which was really good of them! Shops, bars and clubs are literally 5 minutes away if that. Definitely one of the best hotels in Blackpool we have stayed in!

Nothing. The only thing I would say is there is no parking outside the hotel. However theres one at the top of the road £5 for 24 hrs.

Welcome provided by the owners, helpful and eager to please. Relaxed atmosphere. Looking for a budget hotel for New Years Eve in Blackpool , amongst many hundreds of hotels available the friendliness and welcome at this modest hotel made the break a success.

Little to dislike, some rooms a little nicer than others but in fairness believe all being brought up to the same standard over time

Really nice room, friendly proprietor. Great price, especially with the cooked breakfast included. Location is right next to the tower and main attractions.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and at ease by pur host. We were put into Room 1 which was pretty Blingin', silk sheets, stylish decor, clean, tidy and even a full length mirror for my girlfriend! Oh, and don't get me started on the breakfast. The full English was Tres Manifique!

Loved our stay there and would definitely stay there again!

Are bathroom was to small but ok for one night.

stayed at fortywinks for 4 nights, me and my girlfriend who was celebrating her birthday. Steve and peter were both great, very friendly. the location was superb literally 5 mins around the corner from everything. we got to blackpool at 9:30am and could check in early which was great, no waiting around at all. the rooms were great, very spacious and rather cosy too. the breakfast was spot on every morning, couldn't have been better. when the guys found out that it was my partners birthday, we came down to breakfast the following morning and there was a card and present from them at on our table which was really nice of them, a great gesture. we are coming back to blackpool next year with our daughter for the illuminations and will definately be staying at fortywinks again, a great hotel with some very nice owners :) thank you for making our stay in blackpool even better. honestly couldn't fault it all.

The only good thing I can say was that the T.v and the kettle worked.my double bed was comfortable

I am sorry to say that the carpets are filthy,you need to keep something on your feet or they stick to it. Had definitely not been hovered before our arrival. T.e whole of the public areas stank to high heaven of stale chip fat.we had to hold our breath when we left our room,it was so bad we couldn't bear to go for breakfast the next day. My sisters single bed was very uncomfortable.she sank into the whole in the middle it was that soft

the hosts steve and pete were brilliant, friendly nothing was to much trouble for them.

ok so steve and pete havent been at forty winks very long, there is a lot of work that needs doing a lot of patch up jobs , no central heating being novrmber it was very cold,we had portable heater but wouldnt leave it on all night for safety reasons.the cleaner wasnt good, dust and bits and bobs on the floor from previous occupants,window sill dirty,not a good water system barely warm water . no soap in bathroom.absolutely freeezing,we would like to wish steve and pete all the best for the future hope when you have done all the work that needs to be done.you will make a success of yor buisness.wouldnt recommend at this moment in time but may give it another try next year when the work as been done. once again "GOOD LUCK"

the location to the tower and winter gardens were good the food was reasonable but needed more choise for breakfasts

i think you have a lot to do with the decoration and cleanliness with the rooms, but saying that you said you had only been in for a short while so perhaps this is on your to do list to bring it up to good standard. I dont think our room had been cleaned to a reasonable standard because when we were looking for the remote control we found a bottle of cough mixturure and a condom down the side of the bed. so we were not to impressed with our stay.

What a lovely little hotel, friendly welcome and very helpful. Stayed as part of a group, everybody happy with rooms and breakfast was lovely, thank you very much, we would definatly come back.

Fortywinks is a fabulously friendly place to stay, lovely rooms,great food, excellent location and the most amazing host. Would definately stay there again!

The location was great, close to the shops, train station and seafront. The room was nicley furnished and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly.

The breakfast was very nice but the only milk option was full fat milk, would of been nice to have the choice. But other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Didn't like that we hadn't booked for two nights :( Didn't want to go home.

It was a lovley, cosy, friendly little B & B and if i return to blackpool for a one night stay i woul definately stay at the Forty Winks.

room was so clean.staff so friendly.just a 5 mins walk to beach and shops.nothing was no trouble for the two owners.made us all feel so welcome.the full English breakfast was to die for.
