Convenient to many attractions - although near a main road quiet. The food was excellent. Our room was near the the fan for the kitchen so there was a 'hum', which did go off between 9pm amd 7am - however when wanting to rest after a journey was annoying. The bath could have done with a bit of tlc - it needed a new one! Tried to mix 'old with new which worked well in some areas but not in the bedroom

The food and service were very good, the decor and layout. We arrived mid afternoon and had a drink in the bar, (which could be better stocked with branded beers and ciders). the kitchen staff were eating in the far end of the bar, from there loud conversation and bad language i managed to learn all about the Hotels problems, whilst the service and staff were very good i dont want to overhear staff gossip in this fashion.

Convenient location for Cotswolds beauty spots. Lovely building, Excellent food served by friendly staff. Comfortable public rooms. Unusual and individual bedrooms, and a superbly comfortable bed. All round excellence! Two very, very tiny niggles - in our shower room there was nowhere to put shower gel, shampoo, etc while showering - except on the floor of the cubicle, where they fell over! Despite there being a chair at the dressing table it wasn't possible to sit down to do hair, make-up etc because the mirror was too high.

The staff were efficient and charming, the teddy bear on the bed available for adoption was a great ploy which we of course fell for ! Breakfast was very nicely presented and cooked, having a vegetarian breakfast was great. The hotel has bags of charm - we had a fantastic stay - we would certainly stay again. The position of the hotel on the main road is unfortunate but it is well placed for Stratford, for activities locally, Bourton on the Water etc. Great. The position on the main road is unfortunate.

Not much. Breakfast was ordinary. We were shoved out in the annex. Small room. Not good value for £155 per night. Good position

A well organised hotel with pleasant staff. The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean, nicely furnished and everything worked. The location is ideal only a couple miles to Stow or Bourton on the Water. We did not dine at the hotel because we felt that the prices were too high. All the main courses were priced from about £15 upwards. I would liked to have seen some cheaper options to be taken as bar meals. Not everyone wishes to dine formally every evening in the same restaurant. It is also nice to explore other local restaurants and there are plenty of options in Stow, Bourton and Moreton all within easy reach.

Lovely comfortable room with modern decor, and obviously not a standard design mass copied in each room. Great facilities in room. Beautiful food and good location.

Ideal location for site seeing and vising the many tourist atractions and country villages of the Cotswoulds. The hotel was beautiful, with fabulous views of the countryside, very clean and comforatble. Its was ideal having a resturant in the hotel, as after a day travelling around it was nice to know you could go back to yuor room, relas and then pop into the resturant to eat without having to travel. The staff were very pleasent and there was nothing to much trouble to ensure you had an enjoyable stay.

The room was large and very comfortable and the bathroom was spectacular with a roll-top bath and large shower. The views from the hotel were excellent - rolling countryside in all directions, but with Stow on the Wold very close indeed. A thoroughly enjoyable stay with good food and attentive staff.

Loved the warm and inviting staff, service at this Hotel was magnificent. The bar and lounge at night was warm and inviting .... and the staff at breakfast were very accommodating ..food delicious too ! Thankyou what a memorable stay .... all positive !! The Teddy bear available for adoption on my bed .. was a gorgeous touch ... very reasonable and 'Winston' is now living a happy life in Australia . :) The room we were first given was definately smelling of cigarette smoke ! Staff could not agree and thought it was a fresh paint smell ...... no we know smoke when we smell it .... it was tobacco smoke it reaked .... cleaners need to be aware ..... room was changed instantly ! Wonder what would have happened if there were no rooms left .... this is not a complaint ..... just an observation .... staff were very accommodating .. This is a non-smoking accommodation hotel.

It was a very cold day, so it was nice to relax with a hot chocolate by the fire when we arrived. As we had booked a superior room, we were rather disappointed to see Tippex in the bath. However, the bath was very comfortable in spite of that, with plenty of hot water.

The food was excellent, both for dinner and breakfast, the staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was comfortable but the bathroom had a very small shower and bath and the taps were hard to use. (Tight to turn). Water temperature was not consistent, and we gave up using the shower.
