Room decor was quite nice as hotel was recently refurbished Staff were impolite and didn't seem concerned whether you as a customer was satisfied or not once they had your money. On check out the receptionist asked me how my stay was and when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the fact that the hotel was hard to find because the reception had moved across the street, the phone didn't work in the room, breakfast arrived 35 mins late so I had to leave without it, my key card to access the external door didn't work when I arrived late, room was noisy due to traffic, I was asked to pay in full on arrival (not just the security deposit like most hotel) but the wouldn't give me my proper receipt till I checked out even though there was no way to incur further charges because there was no chargeable mini bar, the receptionist simply made excuses for every thing and didn't acknowledge anything I said. I am a business travelling doing roughly 2-3 trips a month and I'm accustomed to a range of services but this was by far one of the worse stays I've had. I hope my experience was a one off for their sake as the room quality was pretty good. I won't be going back to find out!

Nothing The unfriendly reception staff. The fact that the hotel and the reception are in different buildings. No elevators. Small rooms. Very high price for services which I consider less than poor.

Newly refurbished rooms Proximity to Baker Street Station The communication with this hotel has been revolting. On initial booking the hotel was informed that it was a business booking, however the hotel failed to advise of major refurbishments to the hotel until Saturday at 7pm, the night before the booking by email to a work address. This was much too late for this information to be relayed to our corporate guests. The guests hence had difficulty finding the hotel because the address provided on the booking confirmation was was boarded up and under development. When they finally called the hotel and found the temporary hotel entrance across the road there was no proper reception which was very disconcerting especially when arriving at a completely different address from that listed on the website. Our guests requested the second night's booking be cancelled and another hotel needed to be organised for them because of the experience. I was very disappointed with how the staff on reception handled the situation, insisting on charging the company for the 2nd night due to not meeting the minimum 48 hours cancellation deadline, despite their lack of initial communication being the reason behind the cancellation. After a epic letter to the manager explaining the situation the cancelled second night's fee was refunded, however no apology was made regarding any of the communication errors made by the hotel staff. I do understand that the refurbishment is only a temporary problem, however due to the failure of staff to communicate the changes or to remedy a bad situation I would not use this hotel again and would not recommend to other travellers.

For the price we paid, we were extremely pleased and surprised at the quality of the room and hotel in general We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a first-rate establishment. Thank you. We struggle to find fault!!!

The bathroom although small was clean and functional. The location is handy for the tube and travelling around London. No restaurant or bar/ the room I was staying in was very small and in another building across the road from the main hotel. I was on the second floor - there was no lift/ doors to the rooms banged loudly so each time other residents came back I was woken up. Expensive for what you what you get.

Well specced room. Comfy bed, air con was excellent, location Tiny room for the money. No facilities, thought it was a hotel, no bar or lounge, in fact no where to sit other than on bed. Complained to staff but no one available to field our complaints. Promised a follow up call but none came...,

we loved the room, it was so quiet and peaceful. The best part was it that hotel furniture and appliances are new and modern. The staff there were extremely polite, very freindly and most importantly very helpful...Cheers to you guys!! there is nothing to dislike about this place honestly

Location was good and the room decor was also pleasant. The hotel was being refurbished so the address was incorrect and the lobby was in a hotel room. It was very strange and I would say the review mark which I based my booking upon, was too high for what we experienced.

The room was really nice, very comfy bed. And were given a complimentary breakfast box, was perfect for us. 2 cleaners came into the room on separate occasions when we were still in bed/ getting up. But they apologised and left.

The rooms were comfortable and seemed newly renovated. Terrible customer service! The hotel was a building site and covered in scaffolding with a skip outside. Although there was an alternative building (seperate from, but apparently part of the hotel) across the street, we were not informed in advance of this or apologised to when we got there. This also meant that there was no breakfast room, and a breakfast box had to be pre-ordered the day before. Not the end of the world but frustrating nonetheless. The MOST frustrating thing was the attitude of the staff. The person on reception demanded that I pay for my whole stay in advance, even though my booking is guaranteed through the booking.com website. After several minutes of 'discussion' with the receptionist I was told by a manager that it is standard practice in the UK for hotels to charge the full amount in advance, which is of course, a blatant lie. This sullied our experience of the hotel and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to others, purely on the basis of the awful and inept customer service that we received.
