Location is central and there's a hotel car park. Double room was more like a single and felt 'down at heel'. Windows don't open fully and it wasn't possible to cool the overheated room even with the radiator turned off. Wifi available but at extra cost. Ye Old Talbot pub nearby has a better and much cheaper breakfast and free wifi. I'll stay there next time.

I thought that when we were checking out on Sunday the person was bright, cheefull and very helpful. I did like being left to just come and go as we pleased. I didn't like the initial checking in as the personwas not that friendly and did not welcome us to the Hotel. I feel "Welcome to the Fownes" would be nicer than "Can I help you"

I found the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and I love the design of it (though the hairdryers in the bathrooms are somewhat archaic and ineffectual). Even though the hotel is on the main road, the rooms are very quiet, which I found surprising - even when I opened my windows. The room was lovely and bright and had all that I needed. My bed was rather short and though I am only 5'10", my feet hung over the end of the bed. The sockets were difficult to find and there wasn't one next to the bed for my to charge my mobile. £4 for an hour and £5 for 24 hrs of wi-fi is rather steep, as most hotels now provide it for free.

Location. The staff were no dedicated to their roll. We may as well have checked-in, upon our arrival, with a machine!!! We felt that breakfast was "Its there! Take it or leave it!"

The bedroom and the food. The flat screen TV. No mixer taps in the bathroom. Would have preferred a purpose built shower.

Very spacious room and hotel very close to centre of Worcester and easy to park. Staff very friendly. Don't bother with breakfast - barely edible. Just pop into town as it is so close.

That I was allocated a quiet room. 1. The breakfast quality, the restocking, the clearing & restring of tables were all poor. Not enough staff to cope with the numbers. 2. Having to pay for wi-fi in this day & age is antiquated & unacceptable. 3. Dinner was poor in value for money, quality & service. The dining room also had a very strong smell of curry being eaten by other guests. Strange when curry was not in the restaurant menu! 4. Overall & compared to many other hotels this one is not one I would choose to stay at again or recommend.

the room was clean, the bathroom was clean the diner was good reception staff was friendly. there was no dvd player (room 215) although well advertised. The little flatscreen tv couldn't identify my media harddisk either. Room 215 is a joined room to 214. With a door in between. So I heard my neighbour snoring and coughing and even farting at 24:00, 02:00, 04:00, 06:00. The guy got out of bed at 06:00, put on his TV and I enjoyed that too. The breakfast was for free.:-) I waited one minute at the entrance of the restaurant and then finally went in, although both staff members seen me. I wanted to ask for coffee and to refill the organge juice, but despite my tries to get their attention, I was ignored. I'm not ugly, I'm not smelly, I might have looked a bit tired, though...So after breakfast I just left and made an instant coffee in my room. When I took a shower in the bath, the shower head comes at the level of my shoulders, and I'm an average guy. Fownes Hotel: thanks, not for me again.
