The food was excellent
Staff were trying a bit too hard to please sometimes. My booking took some time to find but nothing otherwise than one small beer that was very pricey but which was removed from the bill graciously. Well done
Comfy and great staff
The room, the food, the staff and the quiet.
Loved the room
Steps leading to rooms were dirty
Good breakfast Nice room
Dog barking constantly nearby in the early hours. Not the hotels fault but went on for ages.
lovely decor, lovely room. Very helpful staff.
needed a wider range of vegetarian breakfast options. Bigger cups in bedroom for making coffee and tea.
Staff and service. Location excellent for our needs.
Our stay was too short!
Lovely pub. Great food. Sadly kept awake all night from deliveries arriving and barrels being changed! Not the most relaxing nights sleep.
Noise too high.
I liked the food (I had the posh burger, my partner had the fish pie). It was a short walk away from Wimbledon 'village'. The room had tea and coffee making facilities (although I couldn't get the coffee machine to work, so I guess you could say it didn't have coffee making facilities).
It definitely had the feel of being owned by a company rather than 'family run'. Which meant it has lost a personal edge.
Very friendly and welcoming. Staff service and attention to detail is excellent. High standard large bedroom / bathroom. Lovely decor. Bedroom had french doors onto roof garden. Breakfast service was excellent and felt very personal, with an individual cereal hamper and full table service, which is so much more relaxing a start to the day than self-service buffet style.
When travelling alone and arriving on foot, the location is a little secluded. It is quite a way from Wimbledon station. The walk from Wimbledon high street was lovely on a warm summer's evening, but not so appealing in the dark or in winter. Otherwise, I would highly recommend The Fox & Grapes
Excellent room and breakfast. Helpful and polite staff. Tasteful decor nice touches (robes, flannels, etc).
It suited us as it was in a excellent position for Wimbledon and the village just on the edge of the common it was nice stroll into the village.
Breakfast was a basket with variety cereals. Very disappointing a cooked breakfast was available but completely over priced Scrambled egg and bacon £14. You would at least expect a good continental breakfast, Cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast/bread pastries.
great reception from joe, room excellent, great food, good beer. parking outside
décor was lovely; bathroom products smelled gorgeous; nice nespresso machine; beautiful location; very charming staff. Overall a great blend of casual friendliness and discreet quality and service. xx
Liked everything but would have preferred a bigger cup for tea making in the room.
location and style enjoyable meal
enjoyed continental breakfast but should include cooked breakfast within price
location quiet very pleasant and polite staff clean
no presence at all at night can make things a bit complicated
Couldn't fault my stay here , very impressed , will return.
Attentive staff and good food
A little noisy from the road
Convenience near to where I had to be the next morning
The throbbing sound from some machinery or air conditioning in the building kept me awake most of the night. Obviously hadn't drunk enough of their great beer.
Clean and comfortable apart from lack of shower.
The shower did not work (and no warning although the staff clearly were aware) no bath either! Breakfast not available until 8am, too late for business. A 'continental breakfast' which was provided consisted of rice crispies or frosties. a banana, orange, grapes and juice. Some sort of bread, croissant or muffin would have been nice!
Good food, reasonable prices Delightful bar/dining rooms Comfortable bed and well appointed bedroom. Beautiful location Positive, helpful and friendly staff
Very comfortable room, quiet location, free on street parking outside (big bonus in London). Tremendous restaurant quality food and a superb breakfast. Will definitely be back. Staff extremely welcoming.
Excellent friendly staff, very clean comfortable room. Super breakfast.
Lack of parking
High standard of decor in the room
The room was a bit small
