This hotel just didn't live up to my expectations at all sadly. From the moment of entry, the dilapidated front entryway, the threadbare and dirty carpet on the stairs, the receptionist saying she'd have to check if our room was ready (even though we arrived at 6.30pm) and then keeping us waiting for close to 10 minutes... The room itself did not feel clean either. The carpet in the room was better than on the staircase, but still had obvious dirt marks and I didn't feeling comfortable putting anything down on the floor. The bathroom had been renovated to a fresh new look, but sadly there was mold in the shower and on the ceiling, and the vanity doors where hanging askew. My allergies hit with a vengeance once we were in the room, indicating it was all very dusty. Every time someone in a nearby room closed their room door, it sounded as if they were trying to get into our room. The lock was loose on our door, so whilst it was locked, I did not feel secure in there. The room overlooked the gravel carpark, and the noise of cars leaving the restaurant later in the evening woke me. We did not stay the second night.
It was easy to access from the Motorway. The sheets and towels were clean. A male staff member carried our suitcases up the steep staircase for me. When we left after one night, we were not charged for the second night - even though we did not pack out til late afternoon when there would have been no chance of rebooking that room for the night.
