The Fox & Goose Country Inn  

This is a very well and professionally run country pub; the various menus, provided by a chef who takes a great pride in his work, cater wisely for all appetites and pockets. The cask conditioned beers are well kept and mine hosts and the locals very welcoming.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. The menu was wide ranging and reasonably priced. Breakfast was a real treat.

Difficulty getting into the high sided bath tub - I have troublesome knees that don't bend too well.

Excellent hotel providing an excellent service from the second we walked throgh the door until we left. Would recomend the hotel and excellent food available.

Noise in the room next to ours. Guess it was the fridge that started at 04.30 am, But finished at 05.00....

Friendly and informal, yet of a high standard. The food and restaurant was excellent.

We were disappointed by the fridge in the room - those small mains/12 volt fridges never work well. It did not make any difference to us but we understood that if we wanted breakfast earlier than 9 am we would have to have a 'hamper'.

The bathroom furniture was rusty metal and need updating.

I have stayed here previously and it is a nice friendly environment, the staff are great and the food is fantastic. I would encourage people to seek it out if they aren't used to going for a hotel off the beaten track. I have recommended it to family and friends. Only 7 miles from Stratford and pretty easy to get to. It is nice, friendly and relaxing place to stay. I'm sure that we will stay here again in the future.

The staff were brilliant and the room was lovely, we were upgraded free of charge to miss scarlet. We were only there for a wedding so wished we had spent more time enjoying the pub and local area. We would definately stay again.

Great staff and interesting menu at small pub. Convenient for performance at Stratford and staff very helpful getting us fed before the show. Rooms pretty small and some novel lighting but adequate for small pub.
