Even before we arrived James made us feel most welcome. Comfortable. Everything we could possibly want, including treatments. Terrific breakfasts, great facilities, local information readily available.

The hotel was in a great location for Shanklin, it was clean very comfortable and had a fantastic breakfast collection. James and Paula were very helpful as well as organising our ferry travel they also had a handy pack in the room with local walks and island attractions, they also requested guests to review where they had eaten, this certainly helped with our decisions. Overall a fantastic place and would stay again if ever on the island.

I was very impressed with everything at Foxhills. The hotel was very clean warm and comfortable. The breakfasts were magnificent. There was something for everyones needs. The host were friendly ,very helpful and knowledgeable about the iow They organised my ferry ticket and gave very detailed directions both to ferry in uk and hotel. Will definitely be staying there again in the future. It hard to find any fault with this hotel and its service. The only negative thing I can find to say is "I would have liked a bigger bath towel"

The extremely warm greeting by the owner (and later his wife) who continued to call us by our Christian names throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent, the hotel is non smoking throughout, excellent resturaunts (for the evening meal) are within easy walking distance, light snacks are available. The hotel will send an email confirming your reservation and giving driving instructions as to it's location - a nice touch! The private-off street parking is tight, but with careful forethought there is no problem.

Lovely place, relaxing spa, good breakfasts, wonderful area. Walking distance from pubs, bars and restaurants. Although near a quiet village. Nightlife was perfect with lots of live music. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

James the proprietor is extremely friendly and accomodating. He is certainly in the right position . Available at all times and the breakfasts were creative and interesting if you preffered not to have full english. Our shower wasnt 100 percent . The pressure and water temp need attention.

It was quiet but friendly and close enough to the Old Village to be able to walk there e.g. for a meal in the evening. The service was excellent and the breakfast a mix of old favourites and new innovations. A bar area would have been nice instead of having drinks in the lounge.

The stay is very nice and hospitality is at its best. Breakfast is amazing with great variety of fruits, homemade Jams and nice English breakfast. James helped planning our day outs with his valuable inputs. Jacuzzi is amazing. I will surely recommend this hotel to my friends. The room we got is little small and shower does not have power in it. We cannot get hot and cold water mix in sink as there are separate taps for them.

The bedroom, dressing room and ensuite were spotless. The room was airy and both windows opened wide, this was important as the weather was hot. The bed and bedding was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice with a good variety of fresh fruit. James and Paula paid attention to detail and this made all the difference; they went out of their way to be helpful and to ensure our stay was perfect.

James was immensley polite and friendly. He,d gone to the trouble of remembering our first names before we got there. Nothing was too much trouble and questions were dealt with straight away. The breakfast was amazing there was literally everything available if not they got it for you. It has a lovely garden . it is a period property decorated in the older period style. It was immaculately clean. The towels were thich soft and fluffy we enjoyed the bubble pool and massage. All drinks and shampoo body wash in the room enough for every day of yor stay. Our room was a little small, but we booked last minute. The bed was very firm. Being partially disabled I found the wc too close to the shower cubicle. To be fair I forgot to tell jame s that in the booking email.

A home from home! James and Paula are the perfect hosts; nothing is too much trouble. I cannot fault them in any way, shape or form - and the breakfast quality and choice is to die for. Thank you - looking forward to seeing you both in Brighton.

Foxhills is beautiful, well maintained, family hotel, the service we received was fantastic, with lots of additional little touches to enure you had an enjoyable stay. The breakfast is great with lots of choice, including fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereal, then a cooked breakfast of your choice. The Spa was an excellent addition to the stay. All in all a magical weekend.
