Beautiful contemporary room. The food at 19 was excellent and the service was exceptional.
Foxhills is a very nice golf/country club set in large grounds, we unfortunately did not make use of the spa on this trip, but will try the pool etc in future.
could not book a table in the main restaurant for either of the two nights we stayed, even though trying early in the day. The shower in our accommodation was totally inadequate, but luckily also had a separate bath.
Staff attentive but not overbearing. Accommodation first class. Food excellent
Room was too hot
Excellent room, good value, lovely adult spa facilities and pools, and bar 19 was very good and had lovely feel. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely setting and location.
We thought the summerhouse restaurant did not have a great atmosphere. It was as if the children were relegated to a cheap coffee shop rather than a family restaurant. Also having to get to it through the youth centre was strange. Not what we expected! Although we didn't eat there I think it could have been better thought out! We would stay with out children but the restaurant and seperate leisure facilities for them were not as good as the adult ones! Perhaps in better weather when the outdoor pool is open the whole area would have a different feel!
The location is close to london so perfect for a weekend getaway With out lots of travel. The executive rooms were great Really comfortable. The tv also has usb so if u take ur movies on a hard drive you can watch them. The grounds are beautiful and the facilities are top notch we especially enjoyed taking a hot tub under the stars. Breakfast was fantasic great service good cooked breakfast and wide selection for continental breakfast.
No tables available at the manor restaurant only the "brasserie" which they should just call a cafe and have done with it. The food was limited choice cafe style menu and the setting was not what you expect or want for a romantic evening. Sky sports on a flat screen and very loud dance music brightly lit this was the most disappointing aspect of our stay. our advice get room service if they say you cant get a table at the manor restaurant.
Everything, apart from the weather, but you can't have everything!
We only stayed one night but it was perfect. The room was massive with all the mod cons. Very luxurious. We ate at XIX with good quality food at a decent price.
Nothing the staff were brilliant.
Very nice location. The room was very comfortable and was equiped with everything that you might need. Efficient room service. Nice breakfast.
Spa and location
Relaxed atmosphere great facilities with spa and golf. Friendly service and excellent location
No much. Think the main dining room area needs modernising and a little less expensive.
Excellent spa treatment and gym/spa facilities. Food in Nineteen restaurant was delicious!
Very poor breakfast (via room service) - over cooked/cold bacon - no salt + pepper - no jam / marmalade / butter - watered down fruit juice This really put a dampener on our experience of Foxhills and isn't worth £19pp!!
the facilities and staff, room size was great, not overly expensive
walk to the outside block,,,, it was cold. the view was fab.
Liked the spa, the hotel room and the size of the bathroom
The large bed was 2 singles put together and i kept falling into the gap inbetween.
I booked Foxhills as a surprise for my partner for a pre valentines present. When we arrived we were upgrade to a junior suite which was beautiful. We ate in the Manor resturant have 3 courses all the food was sublime as was our breakfast in the morning. The staff were so helpful and polite, they really can't do enough for you. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. You really do pay for what you get :) thank you Foxhills for giving us our first night away and making it so special.
The whole complex and friendly staff
Beautiful grounds & room. Super spa & massage. Best breakfast I've had in a hotel. Foxhill's should be 5 star rated not 4
Food was good
Rooms were not part of hotel, more more akin to self catering accomodation. We booked a suite and considering it is advertised as a 4 star, it was more akin to a lady chatterly novel!
Good staff Good pool area Excellent room and bathroom
Room bit cold on check in. Warmed up later
We stayed at foxhills for 2 nights for my husbands 30th birthday in a junior suite, the room was gorgeous with loads of space and the bathroom was lovely and spacious too. We have three children & quite a hectic life at home & this place was a real haven for relaxation. The room was so nice we didn't leave it much & ordered room service. The spa was lovely and the treatments were divine in a very clean & relaxing environment. This place really is a real treat for busy mums & dads to rekindle a little bit of romance back into your relationship. We just wanted to come somewhere & do absolutely nothing & be left well alone & that's exactly what we got.
We did ask for a DVD player in our room before we arrived & it wasn't there, however this was sorted very quickly with a phonecall to reception. On the first morning we were woken by a man with a very noisy leaf blowing machine outside but again we had a quiet word with reception & he was not there the following morning. The staff during the day were polite, efficient and lovely to speak too. However calling for room service in the evening & any other general enquiries was a totally different story, you were greeted with a sense that you were inconveniencing them. And service was very slow. But we are used to teenagers attitudes at home on a daily basis so it really didn't phase us.
Really good breakfast..
I stayed room 17 which is nice but was freezing cold heater wasn't hot enoughf and it wasn't any duve cover at all.....cold night :(
Room was in the Courtyard - which I personally prefer to Lion House On hearing there was no milk, my mini-bar bill for a 1/2 bottle of wine was waived to compensate - not expected at all, but well done to the male Desk Clerk that morning!
There was a continuous sound of cysterns or water pipes flowing in Room 19 The milk was (once again!) missing
Excellent food, good facilities
There was little not to like about Foxhills. It was clean, well furnished and equipped, staff were brilliant and helpful (especially in the spa), food was lovely, facilities and spa treatments were worth every penny. I would definitely go back and plan to! It was so relaxing and is definitely the perfect place to go for just that.
It's a bit of a shame that check out was so early. I know most hotels have this but a later check out would have been good! But I'm being really picky now.
Room was very warm...turned the temp controller down to 5 degrees - did not
