Location, facilities and hotel were great.
However, we were not able to sleep well because of the very bad mattress. It was very soft and old. Very disapointed
The extremely comfortable well equiped room, faultless. beautiful surroundings and golf courses with good spa facilities. staff were very helpful and the friendly atmosphere made our stay perfect
The location & spa facilities are great! We got a very nice room with a lovely view. We played golf, we swam and relaxed in the hot tub! Very enjoyed ourselves.
Although the staff were nice and friendly we felt like they haven't given us all the information about the facilities of the hotel.
very nice room and grounds
Check-in took a long time as a result of a change in the booking.
Everything was faultless I cannot praise the staff and facilities enough! I have a gluten intolerance but it was totally catered for, the leisure and spa facilities are lovely and welcoming. So close to Brooklands and lots of family days out I really can't recommend it enough (except of course I don't want it to be fully booked next time I want to go!)
The only thing I didn't like was leaving to come home! Seriously, no matter how exceptional a place is you often look forward to heading home to your familiar comforts! Here though, you feel at one with your surroundings and as you leave you leave a part of you behind that makes you want to return!
Everything was great Couldn't fault our stay
The room was excellent, spacious, clean, certainly big enough for two adults and two children. The gym and spa pool (for adults only) were very good also. The Reception and Waiters (in the bar) were very helpful and friendly! Overall it really was great value for money. Children loved the game room, included tennis, a television, game console, pool table.
At 3pm, an hour after we checked in, the cleaners opened the door, without having knocked! As I was changing into my bikini, to go swimming... Claiming they forgot to get another pull out bed ready. Room service took 90-minutes, having called them three times, they continually stated, it was on it's way. Children's pool was a little disappointing.
Food in the restaurant was great and the staff were very friendly
We ordered a Taxi to pick us up and take us to the Train station, in plenty of time, but the Taxi arrived too late and we missed our train and had to wait another hour on the freezing cold platform for the next one!! The staff at the hotel were really helpful, but Taxi driver said they didn't get the call from Hotel ?? Maybe double checking with Taxi company is the best bet.
nice scenery, free wifi.
the power kept going off overnight, which meant that the emergency light kept coming on disturbing sleep. Room was not in easy reach from car or lobby for bad weather. The swimming pool area was worse than most council pools in need for great refurbishment. The staff when I tried to book the room where down right rude and unfair. (Though very pleasant during the stay.)
The health spa
The bedrooms were in an annexe
Staff were polite and helpful in the Spa, which is worth a visit. Courtyard room was large and luxurious.
I didn't like the fact my room was cold on arrival in december and for the price of the room the heating did not work in the bathroom. This a number of other things I mentioned on an email to foxhills after my stay. No response received. Quite disappointed as the hotel obviously doesn't care once your money has been taken.
Large well decorated bedrooms with equally large beds, perfect bathrooms and other facilities. Quietude and nice outlook from the bedrooms we were given. Helpful service to reach our rooms and depart by dignified but smiley young man.
One receptionist not offering a very warm welcome despite our smiles. 'Cold' atmosphere due to bad lighting in the poolside cafe/restaurant where we ate early with some local friends and our child. Food okay though not hot enough on presentation. The staff we encountered were absolutely lovely, however. Coffee in the main restaurant tasted over-stewed and no underlying good coffee taste. Breakfast delicious, however.
The spa is amazing, the treatment team are fab, the setting is beautiful, the lounge area with fire was very christmas cosy
Booked a suite, got one that looked more like a granny flat. The suites are like little houses and the decor in this particular one - whilst cosy - was very old fashioned. Asked to be moved and got a large room which was more modern but still felt disappointed as had hoped the suites would be amazing, they feel like a block of flats. The service at dinner was poor, took ages, no atmosphere in restaurant and staff looked stressed. I wouldn't rush to stay again unless there was a super cheap deal
The rooms were lovely & very spacious! We were in the Lyne House which was used by the cyclists during 2012 Olympics so interesting to see who had stayed in the rooms
Was very disappointed where we were able to with our 6 month old baby. The Summerhouse was the only place available for lunch & by the time we went there was no chips peas or rice? The Manor restaurant did not provide the sort of atmosphere for a young family therefore we had to eat out in the evening Also all the Spa treatments were full & we had not been made aware these would need to be booked so far on advance of our stay
Stayed at Foxhills after my boyfriend was delayed on a flight The staff were amazing even when we arrived early our bags were looked after. We had a gorgeous lunch . Our room was superb couldn't wish for better everything was catered for. We ll be back to stay whenever we come to London , I can't wait for our next stay
Nothing to dislike
Breakfast was delicious, room was dreamy! Perfect location.
Wifi could be better, but with a great spa does it matter?!
Stayed 2 nights. Taster menu pricey but excellent quality. The Room a junior courtyard suite was very large, and comfortable. The house has character and most of the staff were friendly and helpfull
Reception person on arrival was very offhand and indifferent. Room service dinner New Years day a bit slow but overall difficult to find very much that was wrong
The room was great had everything in that you could wish for, although no heating in bathroom towel rail did not work, and the valve on the rad was not working either.
The food that we had in the restaurant was like school food, very disappointed in the standard.
Room Service, very poor, arrived wrong and some of the order missing, also extremely slow.
Beautiful surroundings, great service from staff, brilliant facilities, lovely breakfast, room was super comfy, couldnt ask for more really. Oh - the gym & pool is top spec!
Very little, only thing i can think of is perhaps the bar was a little quiet and closed quite early - it was 23rd of december though and the whole hotel wasnt very busy so not really a problem to be honest!
Lovely setting, great facilities, very friendly staff
My room was a little hot!
Loved the pool and dinner in manor house. We were so pleased to have a private room for our family for dinner. Room 25 was very comfortable and great location for family pool and soft play. Shame the golf club doesnt permit children which felt archaic but we were welcomed everywhere else. Would love to come back in the summer.
Spa Room Size Pool Bar Nineteen Food and Staff
Everything was first class! Very nice rooms with high quality touches throughout. Wonderful facility in beautiful countryside. Ours was a flying visit but it's perfect for special occasions.
Great location in green environment, spacious room, large pool with warm water - nice for kids to play in. Good service. Plenty of free parking, free WiFi.
Restaurant was full so had room service but not a big problem as easier to feed kids in the room.
