Lovely country hotel overlooking Loch Ness from the quiet southern side. Very close to the impressive Falls of Foyer. Lovely loch views from some of the bedrooms, the dining room and the lounge. Very pleasant cosy lounge, complete with whisky bar, roaring fire and dog!

There is nothing nearby in terms of dining, so make sure you either book dinner in the hotel or make plans to travel to Inverness .

I liked the location at the waters edge of Loch Ness. I liked that there were nice walks in the area. The owners were incredibly friendly, kind people and couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Really liked Lennie the dog and the red squirrels! Would highly recommend the house to anyone.

The couple that ran the B&B where excellent very friendly & informative. House is gorgeous with great views of Loch Ness. Rooms where very clean, excellent shower. Breakfast was fresh and very good.. Really enjoyed our stay wish it could have been longer..

The place is wonderful, with amazing views. Kate and David are great, always with a smile and great conversation after dinner, and Lennie is lovely.

We felt welcome the moment we arrived, greeted by the owners and their shy Great Dane. The owners spen time with us sitting by the firs discussing Scottish life, the area and of course politics. We awoke to the couple waiting to prepare a womderful breakfast, accomodating our individual requests. The room was comfortable, spotless and pleasing to the senses.

De service en bijzondere gastvrijheid van Kate and David. Verder een bijzonder fraaie locatie aan Loch Ness. De maaltijden (ontbijt en diner) waren uitstekend, gevolgd door gesprekken met de gastheer en -vrouw en andere gasten bij het haardvuur.

Voor de prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding had er wel een ruimer en comfortabeler dekbed op het bed mogen liggen.

The warmth and friendliness of the owners,who were very much hands on and this added to the charm, creating a very relaxing atmosphere.

The house was very beautiful really well located : it is a the middle of nature, on the border of the lake and we fill the real scottish spirit. We felt like home thanks to the owners who were always wondering for our confort and requests. The evening having a drink around the fire and the breakfast in the morning were great moments of exchange with them and with other residents. Thanks to owners we learnt a lot about Loch Ness and life in Scotland. We hope we could come back again. We recommend strongly this b & b hotel.

Beautiful setting with great view to the Loch. Tranquil, peaceful with lots of wild life around. A place to relax and unwind.

We were not charged extra for a heater that was provided.

Foyers Bay is the worst place I have ever stayed in Scotland, and I have stayed at well over a hundred places over the years. - The reservation confirmation states: "Breakfast is included in the room." For a cooked breakfast (provided everywere else we stayed during this trip) guests have to pay an additional £4 each. Breakfast time was from 8.30am to 9.30am only. - The rooms were cold, so we asked for the heating to be turned on, only to be told that the electricity bills were too high. We were then given a small electric heater for two adjoining rooms. - There was an unpleasant, damp smell in the entrance hall. - The advertised "forest view" of our room was really a "corrugated roof view". - The rooms were very small, with enough space just for the beds. The matresses were squeaky, worn out and uncomfortable. - In what I thought was the lobby I opened a small sample of a rare whisky. The owner screamed and shouted at me, telling me this was the bar and they ran this place as a business. I apologised for my error. But he went on and on and on, finally telling me to leave and to go to the room. The following morning he was still grumbling. I have never before experienced such misplaced and aggressive behaviour at a place where I was a paying guest.

The couple were very welcoming and hospitable, nothing was too much trouble. Even Lennie was very sweet.

An excellent warm welcome! Everything was great - room, living room, dinner and breakfast. And of course Linnie was adorable. Enjoyed it very much, would go back and warmly recommed it!
